Very private and relaxing! The manager was there if anything was needed. I would definitely stay here again!
Thank You, Marilyn, for your feedback! There is a lot of Beach Erosion on Cape San Blas, and this area is very low density and the beach is actually getting larger. It is very wide and houses are not stacked on top of each other. This provides tons of room and privacy for you and your dog. Donna your private Red Neck Concierge is extremely helpful and will help you with anything. She has your back!

Unforgettable Vacation at Two Palms Villa
Date of Stay:Aug 4, 2017
We had a vacation that is unforgettable. It was a perfect location, the Money Bayou was way off to the left, the beach was right in front of the house–this is a big deal. We’ve stayed at Cape San Blas every year and it’s hit or miss with houses that are ‘on the beach’. Sometimes you have to share a pier with several other houses, or climb over dunes. This is a short pier and flat walk –about 25 steps to the beach. The beach is fantastic because it’s not a touristy beach. There are very few people (if any) on it. It feels like you’re on a paradise island. We enjoyed every single moment from sun up to sun down. The hot tub was a treasure after a long day exploring the Cape. The home was beautiful both inside and out and the owners were very helpful and welcoming. We definitely decompressed, made some sand sculptures, toured the beach daily and caught a lot of sand crabs (quick little buggers.) I highly recommend this location Sincerely, A seasoned Cape San Blas vacationer.

Amazing – Private – Spacious – Perfect
Date of Stay: Jul 14, 2017
I could not say enough about this house. It was amazing. Plenty of room for privacy, as well as gatherings. The beach is clean, everyone is friendly, and away from it all. You can have pets on the beach, drive on the beach (with a pass), there is plenty of marine life available, shrimp, crabs, fish, pelicans, you name it, it is there. You have space on the beach to spread out, the screened porch is awesome for morning coffee and if you are lucky to get the master room on the 3rd floor, morning coffee overlooking the ocean in the mornings is breathtaking. Everything you can possibly need or want is at this house. Lots to do from relaxing, to kayaks, crabbing, shuffle board, board games, cooking out and all. Again, a great house with plenty of room, a phone call will bring you a brownie pan or bowl, the house is super clean and oh before I forget the beds and linens are super comfortable. The beds are not old and sunk in (like some places) they have quality sheets, quality pillows, great towels and updated appliances. Truly a hidden gem with EVERYTHING you can think of and more!!!
Rachelle, thank you for your comments! Two Palms Villa is a Special Place and we work very hard to make it, and keep it that way. The Beach is huge, uncrowded and very private. We appreciate you noticing the SPECIAL little things we do……. Comfortable Beds, Soft Sheets and Pillows, Towels, our Stocked Kitchen and our VERY Comfortable Decks! Most of all our special secret, Donna, our Concierge, who brought over brownie pans, bowls and dish towels. She is Dream Merchant and Loves to help our guests with anything. We look forward to having you back again, soon. Peter B.

Another Great Vacation at Two Palms This Year!!
Date of Stay: Jun 23, 2017
Our family had another great vacation at Two Palms this year!! This was our second vacation at Two Palms, and just like last year, we booked again for next year before our vacation even ended!! The beach and ocean at Two Palms is absolutely breath taking! White sand and clear water as far as you can see. I love to sit on the beach, soak up the sun, listen to the waves and sink a little deeper into paradise. At night I sit on the beach and am in awe of the vastness of the ocean and the stars, soooooo many stars!! It is amazing just how many stars there really are when there are no city lights to drown them out (you can also get a great view of the beach and stars from the master balcony). Some of the activities we enjoy are crabbing for blue crab, using the two ocean kayaks, and this year… the stand up paddleboards!!! Crab hunting has now become a family competition for the biggest and most crabs caught, and they are sooo yummy!! Going out in the kayaks we could get up close to the dolphins that swim out in front Two Palms EVERYDAY!! They would swim right by us where we could just about touch them, come up out of water and blow, it was an amazing thing to see. The kids (and us grown ups) loved the new addition of the stand up paddleboard. I must admit, I was not as successful on it as my kids (we will contribute this to age and balance 😉 ), but by the end of the week, I was doing pretty good. The areas around Cape San Blas are beautiful and full of history. We love shopping and dining in Port St. Joe, Apalachicola, and Mexico Beach. The shops and cafe’s in Apalachicola are highly recommended to visit. The town is a take you back in time seaside town with a lot of culture and history. We found beautiful new artwork for our home here!! One of our favorite places to go for dinner is Mango Marley’s in Mexico Beach, this year we also discovered Cone Heads in Mexico Beach, great food and ice cream! The home is beautiful and furnished FULLY with anything you could need. The home and property are very well maintained and clean; and the courtesy and care the owners take to help ensure a great vacation is above and beyond. Our family has found our piece of paradise at Two Palms. We no longer have to search for nice vacation, we know there is ALWAYS one waiting for us at Two Palms.

WE DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE !
Date of Stay:May 26, 2017
Peter and Lydia, It’s funny…..I got your email as I was laying here looking through our beach pictures from last week! We did not want to leave!!!! We had an amazing stay and are already discussing our next stay later this year! We really are thankful to you for all that you provide and do. I am thankful that we found your place down there. Honestly, I never enjoyed the beach until we stayed there last Christmas. My wife was always the one who enjoyed the sand and surf. Now I/we are “hooked”! Great job on the two lifeguard chairs….we would sit in them to start our day and end in the evenings in them! Thanks again…..

We had a great week here at the Two Palms. The house was was stocked with everything we needed and the location cannot be beat. The owner was very invested in our experience as well and called us personally with great local information on restaurants and activities, as well as checking in with us during our stay.

Our stay at Two Palms Villa was magnificent! Outstanding four season service! Once you step inside you are transported to a Homes and Garden Magazine. The place was so crisp and clean! The concierge Donna was sweet and helpful letting us know that we got to witness their brand new décor. (2 new couches, a loveseat, and new deck chairs.) Even the owner Peter called us during our stay to make sure we were enjoying our time. We had talked to him before the trip and after. The nice touch was his call during. Communication with him was always pleasant making us feel like we really mattered as guests. I especially loved the new deck chairs. Nothing was more splendid than sitting on the deck chair having a morning cup of coffee with your view being the expanding beaches and lovely blue water below. The place was fully equipped too. Available were the 2 Palms Kayaks which I took out while my husband stayed ashore fishing and caught one! The place has two styles of grills one gas and one charcoal. We used both to see if there were a difference in flavor… charcoal won. I love the outdoor showers for washing off after a frolicking day at the beach, you can use it for your pets too(There is a private shower too!) you definitely do not want the sand to hitchhike back inside this beautiful home. This place even comes equipped with the option to play Shuffleboard or Horseshoes. The best feature though is the Hot Tub/Spa and watching the outstanding sunsets and the bright twinkling stars at night. I actually fell asleep twice. Kept in pristine shape it was a joy to relax in. We will definitely come again next year!

We had a wonderful time at two palms. The weather was great and ocean was beautiful. We spent most of our time at the house, only leaving twice to eat for our week stay. With the bayou right there we were able to catch our own blue crab with nets and traps provided at two palms, to create two wonderful meals. Thank you so much for our stay ! Peter (owner) and Donna (manager) were awesome to make our stay the best it could be! Thank you, Jenna & Clifton Shupert Chynna & Bryan Benson

If you are looking for the real deal instead of the fake Disney Land, overdeveloped experience, you need look no further than this little slice of Paradise! We couldn’t believe how gorgeous Two Palms was! From the charming Florida decor, to the well stocked kitchen, to the decks overlooking the pristine gulf to the hot tub and the screened in porch. We felt that we had stepped into heaven and seriously didn’t want to leave! We have traveled all over Florida and believe me when I tell you that it is a rare treat to experience such a life filled, diverse experience. Dolphins greeted us every morning and evening, we fished steps from the deck, we went crabbing every afternoon from the gorgeous Bayou where we kayaked back into the birder’s Paradise! Every evening, we enjoyed home made cocktails while watching the sunset from our private back yard! Donna was helpful in pointing us in the right direction when it came to renting a boat for the day, as well as fulfilling a dream of horseback riding in the waves. We can’t thank Peter and company enough for sharing his beautiful home! We will be back.

Two Palms is a little piece of heaven on earth!! The listing description was very accurate in where the home is located, the accommodations, and the amenities. The home was very clean and well maintained. Everything anyone would need (bath towels, dishes, cookware, etc.) were all furnished. Two Palms has a beautiful and comfortable décor, and the large windows let in a lot of beautiful Florida sunshine. The owner was very fast in replying to our inquiry of the home and answered any questions we had. He kept in touch from the time we booked until we departed for vacation. Before leaving he emailed us information on the area and other areas close by and what the areas had to offer as far as activities, restaurants, rental companies for bikes, fishing equipment and fishing charters, horseback riding on the beach. All this information was extremely helpful in planning activities and dinners. Once we arrived, the owner called to check on us to make sure everything was up to standard and that we didn’t need anything and that we were pleased. The care and time he took to make sure our vacation was great was above and beyond!! I would highly recommend Two Palms to anyone who is looking for a peaceful, relaxing, laid back vacation in one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve been to. We enjoyed our stay so much at Two Palms that we called the owner before our vacation ended and booked again for the following summer!! I am so excited to go back, and plan on returning year after year.

Our family traveled to Cape San Blas and stayed at Two Palms. Absolutely loved the house and the location. Everything from the Website describing the property was very accurate. The facilities more than met our expectations and needs. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice as was the living portions of the house. Very scenic with many windows. Floor plan was open with a lot of outdoor space to enjoy. The beach and ocean are just steps from the backdoor. The wagon is a great help to cart your load to the beach. The cookware in the kitchen was of good quality and adequately supplied. Loved the hot tub and the grills in the evening and at night. The 2 outside showers were wonderful. The kayaks were great fun in the afternoon. We did crab hunt as recommended by Peter and had a feast. The house is located between Port St. Joe (for groceries) and Apalachicola which is a wonderful old town to explore. The best oysters were at Hole in the Wall in Apalachicola. Also made a visit to St. George Island. We also enjoyed dining at the Dockside, Triple Tails and Raw Bar. Donna helped with advising the purchase of seafood for a feast at the house. Kids went parasailing in Mexico Beach. There really is a lot to do and we didn’t even make a dent in our list of things to do.

This was the second time we stayed at Two Palms. Our dogs just loved running on the beach and we loved the beach and the new screened in porch. I didn’t realize how much I would like it screened in but it keeps it a little cooler and keeps out any pesky bugs. There is plenty of comfortable furniture both inside and outside and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. We made use of the wagon to haul our beach gear out to the beach and were very grateful to have it. The house is very close to one of my favorite restaurants, the Indian Pass Raw Bar. I would definitely recommend this property to friends. My Response:Karen, so nice to have ya’ll back again. Thank you for your kind comments. We are always working to update and improve the experience at Two Palms Villa and it was reassuring to have your feedback from being here 4 years ago and the many improvements we made. The screened in Porch has been a huge improvement and so has the New Hot Tub/Spa. The most recent upgrade was the Two New Couches and Love Seat in the Living Room. We like to pride ourselves on having loads of comfortable outdoor seating as well as a well-stocked Kitchen. Thanks for noticing. The Beach Wagon is also new this year and that seems, so far, to be a great addition. We have added 6 Adirondack Chairs that we placed in our little “Private Beach” area just at end of the Boardwalk. This is a great private area where you won’t be bothered by golf carts or Trucks passing by. There is also a flat area that is cleared out to place a Beach Tent. Now you have 2 different areas to hang out on the beach. One near the water and another closer to the house and more private. Two Palms Villa is Truly Dog Heaven. One of the Best Beach areas anywhere for your Dog to go Wild. Lastly don’t forget about our Special Red Neck Concierge/Manager- Donna, who lives just a couple of minutes away. She will take very good care of you and any needs that you may have. Do you have a special request? Just ask our resident Dream Merchant- Donna, she will do everything she can to make your Vacation to Two Palms Villa a special event to be remembered for years to come. Come on down for a special experience at Two Palms Villa!

We had such an amazing vacation. We were there for two weeks with 5 adults and two children. The house was very nice! It has all the comforts of home! We enjoyed having propane and charcoal grills for cooking. Sitting on the porches and enjoying the sounds of the ocean and our morning cup of coffee was a great start to the day. The beach was very nice, our kids had a lot of fun searching for sea shells and building sand castles. It was so much fun to watch the dolphins swimming by throughout the day. We did some fishing off the beach and caught a few fish. We enjoyed every moment of our vacation!

What can you say, warm sun, great dog friendly beach and a super house with a hot tub to enjoy the sun rise right on the beach. Doesn’t get any better. The house is well cared for and lots of room. We only use one of 4 bedrooms but friends and kids can visit …Time to get out of cold weather and this is like home to us. Exactly as described, always clean, house keeper near by for great service if you need it, only down side is not much to do except relax during the winter months but that s why we like it!My Response:Thanks for your kind remarks. We are so happy you folks enjoy and love Two Palms Compound so much!!!!This was your 5th or 6th Year in a row of honoring us with your presence at Two Palms Villa. We deeply appreciate your patronage and loyalty. As you know we are always updating and trying to add value to the wonderful Beach Experience here in the “Forgotten Coast” of Gulf County, Fl. Our two week vacation at Two-Palms was so relaxing. The location is perfect. The house is beautiful. Very well kept and clean. Kitchen has all the cooking utensils we needed. Wonderful quiet beach to walk our dogs. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. The owners Mr. and Mrs. Peter Burns and the property manager Donna Stuart were so friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend Two-Palms as the perfect vacation spot.

We loved spending the month of January at Two Palms. The house is exactly as it is shown in the listing–very spacious rooms with everything we needed for a “home away from home.” We enjoyed walking our two dogs on the pet friendly beach, relaxing on the sun-warmed decks, and exploring the area. We saw dolphins swimming by several times and watched bald eagles hunting. We did not use the kayaks, but they looked like a great way to enjoy the water during the warmer months. Both the owner, Peter, and the property manager, Donna, were very helpful and eager to provide information on the area. Finding the house and checking in was easy. We spent the cooler, rainy days browsing the shops in Appalachicola and Port St. Joe and visiting some of the area restaurants. The month we were there went by so quickly, and check out day (which was also very easy) came way too soon. We hope to return to Two Palms in the future and recommend this property for families looking for a relaxing “off the beaten path” vacation.

Our family of 5 (and a beagle) stayed here for a week of relaxation. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. We brought bikes and rode the 20ish miles to the end of Cape San Blas and back a few times. We went out a few times and enjoyed some of the local flavor. But, mostly we came to relax and recharge. This house was perfect. Our children are tween/teens and they enjoyed the trip as much as we did. Thank you to the owners and the concierge for taking such great care of us! This is a place we would love to visit again!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Two Palms! The house is well appointed and had everything we needed for a week at the beach. The beach was so peaceful- we loved that it felt so remote (while still being close to places to eat and grocery shop). Aside from the beach and views, our favorite aspects of the stay were using the hot tub at night and taking the kayaks out in Money Bayou. Peter was helpful and quick to respond to questions and it was nice knowing Donna was near by in case their were any issues. We had a small glitch with the AC unit and Donna had someone there in 15 minutes to fix it. The only enhancement I would recommend would be an upgraded washer/dryer and there the was no ice maker in the freezer- minor things . Overall a wonderful stay and we will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Two Palms. Since our last visit the porch has been screened…very nice addition. We didn’t use the new hot tub, but it looked wonderful. If you are interested in a restful, low traffic, quiet and uncrowded location, this is for you. A wonderful, uncrowded beach that is great for walking is steps away there is easy access to the wonderful wilderness areas, undeveloped beaches, trails, marshes, and boardwalks of the peninsula. There is also great seafood to cook yourself or to enjoy in a local restaurant. Both Apalachicola and Port St. Joe are cute small towns nearby. The gulf in this area does reflect the nearness of rivers, bays, and estuaries, but the water and beaches are clean and enjoyable.

Comfortable, roomy home on a beautiful beach. It felt almost like being on your own private beach….very quiet and peaceful. It is a great place to relax. I really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub at night and looking at the beautiful star-filled sky, while listening to the ocean waves! I really didn’t want to leave! LOVED IT THERE! Donna the manager was very nice and helpful. Our car battery had died the morning of our departure, and she and her friend happily helped us to get it started. Thank-you so much!!! I will be dreaming now of the beautiful sun rises and sunsets I was blessed to observe, and my wonderful walks along the beach. Thank you!

Great vacation beach house and facilities
Date of Stay: September 19, 2015
Major Improvements from last year. Our recent vacation, September 19-26, was our eighth consecutive year at Burns Management properties—the last five at Two Palms on the gulf. Upon arrival we were impressed with the upgrades from last year which included a new screened-in porch, sodded lawn, new paint, new clothes washer and coffee pot, new TV in the main floor bedroom, additional refrigerator in the lower level., and upgraded outdoor hot tub. The owners have expended considerable effort to improve the facilities. As usual, the house was immaculate when we arrived and Donna Stuart, the property manager, paid us a visit to brief us on local and gulf conditions and activities available that week in the Port St. Joe and Apalachicola area. The weather was fabulous and we spent hours enjoying the sun and walking the beach with our pets. Fishing was spotty off the beach, but we had better luck with Captain T. at the marina on a day trip to St. Joseph’s Bay. Our catch included Mackerel, Blues, and Sea Trout which Captain T fileted for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite one evening of rain, but the new screened-in porch provided us the opportunity to enjoy the gulf’s scenic view from the protected vantage point. Also, we enjoyed the fine dining in town at Joe Mama’s and the Sunset Grill. We definitely recommend Two Palms to vacationers looking for a very clean and well established home on the beach. We fully expect to return next year for another superb week of sun, beach, fishing, and dining on the forgotten coast. Barb and Pat M, Georgia

We love the Owners and Donna! They are a total joy to work with. We are repeat renters and they all go above and beyond to make us feel special and welcome!!! This is no small thing to us as we spoke with many people that had major problems with their rental homes. Of course we recommended Two Palms for their next visit! Two Palms is completely perfect and we absolutely love it. We had family come and go through the week with 7 total (and 2 furry ones) at one time and in this house, its no problem at all. There is plenty of space for everyone! The screened in porch is wonderful with the best views and best chairs EVER. This is very important for our parents in their late 70’s and we all spent many relaxing hours there! Love the extra refrigerator, it came in very handy. A very special Thank You to Peter, you spoiled us so now we will never rent anywhere else!!!

The house and beach were as pictured. The hot tub was fantastic. The beach was great, not very many people on it at all. It was like having the whole beach to yourself. We found many shells, including 3 very large ones and one that was inhabited that we put back into the ocean. Enjoyed taking my dog for a long morning walks on the beach.

This is actually our second year staying at Two Palms. We are repeat visitors and will be back. The Gulf views are spectacular. The owner is amazing! The property manager is a true sweat heart. The slice of paradise is well equipped and plenty of space. The owner is genuinely invested in your opinion. Expect a welcome call and departure call directly from the owner. Two Palms is all around amazing. This year was a very special year for our family. We adopted a sea turtle nest that we found on an early morning walk on the beach. FUN FUN! Major upgrades this year with a second fridge, 2 ocean kayaks (a blast), and a screened in porch. Love it, didn’t want to leave it. We will see you soon Burns Management!

Wonderful vacation and a great house!
Date of Stay: June 27, 2015
We spent two weeks here and enjoyed it immensely. The beach in front of the house was very clean and uncrowded. The house was well laid out and the beds were comfortable. The house was well furnished, with plenty of comfortable seating. The kitchen was well stocked – very nice and plentiful pots and pans. A second refrigerator was a welcome bonus – easy to keep a lot of drinks cool! The deck furniture was much nicer and more plentiful than anyplace else we have rented. The lower deck is screened which made sitting outside in the evening possible. Very nice gas grill that we used several times. The hot tub looked good too, but the weather was too warm for us to want to try it out. We had fun with the provided kayaks, the bocce ball set and the horseshoes. The owners and the concierge were very easy to work with – the internet and telephone went out while we were there (Mediacom’s fault, not the owners) and they immediately worked on getting it fixed and kept us updated on the status. We would recommend this house to others.

We had a wonderful time staying at Two Palms. The property is located on a VERY secluded part of the beach. We loved having the privacy. We brought our young boxer and two young children with us (ages 3 & 6). We loved how pet and kid friendly the property was. For example, with hardwood floors throughout, you don’t have to be as paranoid about spills or accidents, since the floors clean so easily. Also, you don’t have lingering odors from past guests either. There is a baby gate on the stairs that can be attached or removed at your request. Also, there are removable gates on the deck. These extras really helped “corral” our lively children and dog. We also appreciated the service we got from Peter and his team. It felt like we were staying at a friend’s house. We would definitely recommend this property to family & friends, and will prob stay here again ourselves.

My family and I had a wonderful vacation at Two-Palms. The house and amenities were as described. Peter, Andy and Donna were wonderful and communicated very well. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, kayaks and screened in deck. The views from the upper deck were spectacular. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the master bath jacuzzi was equally relaxing. We set up a volleyball net and tent down on the beach and played volleyball every evening. It was a wonderful vacation. Suggestions: an additional light on the deck by the grill would make grilling after sunset and using the outdoor shower to rinse, a bit easier to see. The dryer could use a service call as it takes a few cycles to dry clothes. To future renters: make sure u shower before using the hot tub after coming up from the beach. It was really difficult to keep sand out by just rinsing. The hot tub is new and quite wonderful with its 50+ jets and lights. I’m sure Peter would appreciate that 🙂 I swept the floors daily, this will make using the shop vac before departure much easier and less time consuming. Lastly, keep the screened door of the deck closed at all times. This will ensure enjoying the evenings without the bugs. (And they were bad). Thanks Peter, Andy and Donna for what we call In Indiana, Hoosier Hospitality. We also wish Donna well and glad you’re ok following your health issue and hospital stay. Sincerely, The Collins Family P.S- we recommend Seahorse Safaris in Port St Joe. We went on the snorkeling and Sunset Cruise trips. That was fun, educational and we saw Dolphins too. We also suggest The Sandbucket restaurant and 2 gift shops on Cape San Blas Rd.
Shawntell and Family, Thanks for your kind remarks, description and suggestions! We are so happy that you had a wonderful vacation and that ya’ll will come back soon. We also deeply appreciate how clean you left the house. Thank You. The beach is one of the widest area’s in front of Two Palms Villa and there is plenty of room to put a volleyball court up on the beach. Out by the St. Joe Peninsula State Park the beach gets very narrow and it would be difficult to put up a volleyball net and tents. We took your suggestion and had the dryer serviced. There was a large build up of lint and stuff in the exhaust pipe. Working better now. We have explored the feasibility of installing flood lights directed towards the 2 outdoor grills and outdoor shower. The problem is that with the Sea Turtles nesting on the beach in front of Two Palms Villa, the bright lights can attract the baby turtles and increases the possibility of them not surviving from getting lost or eaten from predators. We are going to look into using solar lights if that is politically correct with the experts. I either use a flashlight or the light on my cell phone. Thank you for promoting proper hygiene in using the Spa with 50 jets. We want folks to enjoy the Spa but with extended use by a lot of folks the water will turn green after a couple of days. Unless you shower thoroughly and get the perspiration, sand and most importantly the suntan lotion off, it is just too small an area to keep the water fresh. With proper sanitation it functions quite well and remains clear. There will be a service fee for cleaning the green water. Finally, it is a great idea to remember to keep screen door closed, so bugs don’t get in. Thanks for submitting a review and sharing your suggestions . Peter B.

Spent a fantastic week at Two Palms with our family and our cousin’s family! There were 4 adults, 3 kids, and 2 dogs, and we had plenty of room for everyone. The first thing that struck us was how well-kept and clean the house was, as well as being spacious. We spent all day every day at the beach, fishing, swimming, relaxing, and playing in the sand. The fishing was awesome – large saltwater catfish, smaller redfish, whiting, bluefish, and even a pompano! The ocean kayaks were also a great addition – very easy and fun to paddle out into the ocean. We had campfires on the beach, spent time almost every night in the hot tub, and used both the charcoal and gas grills depending on how much time we had to cook dinner! Most evenings ended by lounging in the screened-in porch with a cold drink or two. It was great to not have to remove our canopy and chairs from the beach each night, so everything was ready for us when we headed back down in the morning. The kids came and went from the house to the beach throughout the day, and we weren’t at all concerned about them being in the house alone while we weren’t there. A very friendly and secluded area. The Indian Pass Raw Bar was a fun place to get food, and there are plenty of places fairly close to buy fresh seafood to cook at home – Peter and Donna gave us a wealth of information about the area prior to our visit. We were genuinely sad to leave but at least know that we will be back again soon! Oh yeah, Peter and Lydia were fantastic to work with, as well as their local concierge Donna – I couldn’t find the crab traps that she said had been left for us one day and she sent someone to the house with two new brand new ones for us to use! I was embarrassed when I found them later! We had a great stay and would recommend this house to anyone wanting a secluded low-key beach experience without the hustle and bustle of the other panhandle destinations!

Hot Tub and Beach
One of the nicest surprises was that we granted Peter permission to install a brand new hot tub/spa while we were there. We are not much of a hot tub/family. But after seeing this huge beautiful spa with 50 jets, seating for 6, stereo, lights and even a water fall, we could not resist. OMG!!! We could not believe how awesome it was. Sitting there on the deck at sunset, and especially at night watching the beautiful stars, it was one of the most relaxing and wonderful experiences we have ever had. They have this really cool garage that the huge, heavy and bulky cover just easily rolls into on PVC pipe. It is so easy to do, you could do it with one arm. Flip up one side and it folds in half, then just push forward into the garage. Easy as pie. I can’t imagine how elderly folks could deal with the cover otherwise. Plus they have secure steps and handicapped/safety bars. Really felt like I got a therapeutic massage. We would come back JUST for the hot tub/spa!!!!! We vacationed with our 1 year old and the house was very safe. We also brought our dog and she had a great time on the beach, lots of room to roam. Truly a great experience and we will consider returning for another trip.

Everything about this rental was EXCELLENT!!
Date of Stay : May 16, 2015
When you walk into this home you can get to living out your vacation without unpacking a single item. Everything is so well stocked and the amenities are great. Having things such as the kayak and fishing poles for your own personal use really made our stay accommodating. The kitchen has everything you need and if it doesn’t the WONDERFUL staff at Two Palms is always just a phone call away. They are so pleasant and went above and beyond to make sure our visit was incredibly memorable. The house was wonderfully maintained and very clean. Also, the water is within a moments walk and the outdoor showers made things much simpler when it comes to easy sand clean-up. Overall– a great place to stay.

Family Vacation 2015
Date of Stay: May 2, 2015
We just returned from our stay at Two Palms vacation home and I’m already ready to go back. It was very nice. The pics and videos we viewed on this site were exactly what we seen when we arrived. No misrepresentations at all. It is a very nice home. We had three families in it with 6 kids and there was still plenty of room. The new screened in porch was a blessing as sometimes in the evening the biting bugs come out and we were still able to sit outside and enjoy the ocean. It makes things so much easier when you are right on the ocean with kids so you don’t have to pack everything up for every trip to the water. The owner, Peter and the Manager, Donna were both very helpful and Peter even loaned us his personal beach chairs to use while we were there. We used their crab cages too and caught 14 crabs from the creek right near the house (Money Bayou). We went down the road to Indian Pass Campground and took the boat ride to St. Vincent Island where we found several sand dollars. The men took a shark fishing trip offered at Indian Pass Campground also. They caught almost 30 shark and had a blast! We took the kids to Mexico Beach one day and just parked near the side of the road. They went snorkeling there and found several neat shells and they all had live hermit crabs in them! Indian Pass Raw Bar was right down the road and had the best Oysters I’ve ever eaten! Triple Tails was down the road the opposite direction (toward St. Joe) and they had the best crab legs and a wonderful Oyster platter as well. The only drawback at all to this property was the stairs. When you buy groceries or anything like that you have to carry everything up a flight of stairs. I have bad knees so I struggled with this a bit, but overall, we couldn’t have been happier for our first ever family vacation. We will definitely consider this property for any future vacations. It’s a winner in our books!

Our week at Two Palms exceeded our expectations! It started when we arrived early, Donna and the house staff were so welcoming and accommodating, allowing us to put some things in the house early. Throughout the week Donna, the concierge, was there for everything we needed! She made us feel like we were family, in a place where we were unfamiliar, which is a comforting feeling. Not to mention, the house was very clean, comfortable and provided all the necessary amenities. Even a high-chair and pack-n-play which came in very handy. Peter and Lydia did a wonderful job providing all the information necessary prior to our trip as well. Overall, there was a great team surrounding this property and we were completely satisfied with our choice to vacation at Two Palms! Thank you all!

Best Spot on the Beach!
Date of Stay: April 4, 2015
We did have a wonderful time and were so sad to leave! The weather cooperated and it rained for the first time the whole week as we were leaving! The location of the house is just perfect! Looking out from the living areas, screened porch and hot tub and being able to see the gulf was therapeutic! The beach was great for walking and uncrowded. The waves were gentle and our grandchildren loved playing in the small pools that formed! They also enjoyed hunting for crabs in Money Bayou. You have a great spot! We also appreciated the warm personal attention by owner, Peter and local manager, Donna. They went out of their way to make our stay perfect! We enjoyed biking on trails on Cape San Blas, walking on the beach, catching crabs in Money Bayou outlet, eating oysters in Apalachicola and pizza at Mama Joe’s Pizza in Port St. Joe. We had a great week!

Great house, super owners, fantastic concierge!
Date of Stay: March 28, 2015
Let me start by saying I don’t normally write reviews. I HAD to write one for our stay at Two Palms! The house was exactly as it appears in the photos. The owners and the concierge, Donna were very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and genuinely wanted to make sure we had an awesome time. We thoroughly enjoyed the house, the private beach (we maybe saw 10 people all day), the weather (beautiful). We fished in the surf in front of the house each day and always caught something. My daughter even caught a hammerhead shark one evening. It was only 2′ long but still very cool! The town is about a 10 minute drive from the house which is super convenient. The state park on the peninsula was fabulous, we found horseshoe crabs, hermit and fiddler crabs, a live conch, sea urchins… what a fun day. We also rode horses on the beach one evening with Two Bit Stables. My husband loves seafood and we are too far inland at home to get “fresh”so he really enjoyed the Indian Pass Raw Bar and the dockside restaurant at the marina. We sat outside and watched the fishing charters coming in. That entertained the kids while waiting for our food. We actually had a list of other things we wanted to do while we were there but, the relaxing beach was too alluring. We had fun just sitting in the sand and reading and soaking up the sun. When we were first looking in the area, I was skeptical renting without the “rental company”. I wasn’t sure what to expect but, everything was great, easy transaction, above board! All of the past reviews said how great everything was and they were all right!! We will definitely rent here again!!

Best Florida destination-Ever!
Date of Stay: March 21, 2015
Our visit to Two Palms was the best Florida vacation we have ever experienced. The home is in the perfect location right on the beach. The owners Peter and Lydia called during our stay to be sure everything was in order and to let us know we could contact Donna the concierge or them if we had any issues. Our traveling group included my brother and his family, our mom, and my family. The house easily accommodated our party of 8. The owners were so kind to allow my brother to bring his dog last minute when their pet sitting arrangements fell through. The kids really enjoyed the beach. We watched the dolphins every morning and evening. We found a starfish and caught endless crabs. When we weren’t enjoying the beach, we were able to relax in the hot tub. Hands down our best Florida vacation ever!

Date of Stay: 2/28/2015 to 3/14/2015
For the past nine years our family and friends have enjoyed vacationing at one of the Burns’ beach houses. Until this year we had enjoyed Three Palms. This year we decided to stay at Two Palms and were extremely pleased with all the house and location have to offer. The Burns’, with the assistance of local people keep the houses in great repair and extremely clean. Over the years, we have come to appreciate the Burns’ local management person, Donna Stuart, for making contact after we arrive to make sure everything is to our liking, provide us with local information and generally provide anything to make our stay better. This year Donna was out of town for personal reasons but phoned me the day of our arrival telling me she had arranged for someone else (Andy) to take care of anything we may need. Usually there is nothing but a ‘welcoming’ needed since the properties are so carefully maintained but we discovered a TV cable outlet in one of the bedrooms was not working. Since the cable issue was only in one bedroom and there is a VCR with numerous movies to watch we were fine without a repair being made but when Andy was made aware of it he immediately contacted the owners and steps were taken to arrange a repair. Replacing just the cable to that bedroom would have been adequate but the owners had every cable outlet in the house rewired just to make sure there were no other cable issues. It was late afternoon before the cable technician arrived and the work took him into the early evening but Andy remained on site to assure everything went well. As if that wasn’t enough, the owners had a new flat screen TV delivered the next day to replace the TV in the bedroom. As always, we enjoyed our stay in the area and would highly recommend Two Palms. Two Palms has much to offer, the coziness of the house, beach front and close proximity to Port St. Joe, Apalachicola, and Indian Pass Raw Bar. We especially enjoyed the beach view from the new screen porch and the beach view while sitting in the hot tub. Thank you, Peter, Lydia, Donna and Andy for another enjoyable visit.

We loved the location simply beautiful. Loved the hot tub..Will not rent a place without one again. The view was amazing, the wild life was awesome. Bald Eagles daily flying over head and landing on the beach right off our board walk. House was very roomy and comfortable. The area is so relaxing, wonderful restaurants close by in both directions. House and beach pet friendly and very enjoyable. Concierge close by for any concerns was extra nice. The horseback riding on the beach was picturesque. Would be happy to come visit again our next opportunity.

The Perfect Beach Getaway!!!!
Date of Stay: October 18, 2014
Peter and Lydia really know how to manage rental property! This is a beautifully spacious home in an absolutely incredible area of Florida! We have visited Two-Palms three years in a row and have no plans of changing our yearly vacation getaway! One of the finest things about Two-Palms is that every year we open the door to the same beautifully maintained home. The local property managers that the Burns have hired continuously have this home in tip top shape before every visit! The second best thing about Two-Palms is that every year The Burns invest in their home and improve or include upgrades. From fresh linens to flat screen TVs to a screened in porch, every year brings some sort of wonder. The concern for the comfort of your visit to just checking in to see if you are enjoying your stay is a personal touch that I have never received anywhere else before. Having the property manager, Donna right down the street is definitely a comfort in the rare occasion you need something and don’t know where to turn! The serenity of the private beach and the beautiful decks and porches that Two-Palms offers make it impossible to not catch that perfect sunrise and sunset, or enjoy the perfect beach day just laying around. This is the spot you will want to come back to year after year!
Phil and Tim, Thanks so VERY much for your fantastic review of Two Palms Villa……I can’t think of a better quote: “Better late than never”…..It is such a pleasure to have multi-year repeat guests like you folks to begin with. But after writing numerous REVIEWS already…….we didn’t anticipate that we would see one from ya’ll. The Beauty of your insights is that it really, really hit home with what our Objective is as managers of 2 vacation homes in this gorgeous area. I actually, not only had a huge smile , it brought a HUGE sense of pride and joy that we are making people’s vacation experience a special, unique and value-added one. We work very hard and strive to get better and better at serving folks. It would take someone who has been here for 4-5 years in a row, to be able to give that long term, consistent review of their experience. And i think you hit it on the head. We really , really are a lot more than a beach rental. And with Donna, our manager, and the rest of our staff , it is so very special to hear that you see, appreciate and understand, that we are second to no other rental in terms of service and improving the overall experience. We got your Back!!!! To think you visited in October, and CARED enough to take the time and energy to share your kind observations in February, is simply, the best compliment we could ever have. No one has done that!!!!! We hope Tim is 100% and wish him and ya’ll well. Thank You so much for being part of our family at Two Palms and we hope to see you again in October 2015!!! Two Palms Was Fantastic!!!
Date of Stay: December 27, 2014
My husband and I chose Two Palms because it was welcoming to dogs and the beach was dog friendly. We came with our two little dogs and 8 friends and family members. 4 of us are in our late 40s, 4 in our late 20s, and 2 young teens. The house is HUGE! There was a private bedroom for each of us 4 couples and 2 poeople had the room on the ground floor where there was a pull out sofa located in a semi-private room. There was plenty of room in the kitchen/dining/livingroom (which was all open concept)…for all 10 of us AND the 2 dogs. Off these rooms, there was seating on the main screened in porch (facing the beach/ocean) for ALL of us. Some read while laying on the chaise lounge chairs ,while others sat and played games at a high top table, while others just sat looking out at the ocean. I could have sat there all day…the chairs were so comfortable! My husband and I had the master bedroom on the 3rd level…OMG…beautiful…so luxurious!!! I was in heaven. This room overlooks the ocean/beach and there are very comfortable lounge chairs on that balcony too! There are 2 french doors that open and welcome in the breezes and sounds of the ocean waves crashing on the beach! This room was perfect. Everything in the house was so well maintained and we had everything we needed to be comfortable. (The only things that didn’t run so smoothly and may need updating are the dishwasher and wash machine). We did have bonfires right on the beach and pulled the beach chairs from under the deck to sit on…it was so amazing. Then we would come in and sit in the hot tub which fits 4-5 people very comfortably. We went for long walks on the beach with each other and the dogs. When we encountered people while walking, they were all very friendly. Some were locals and others were also visitors. We were in heaven! Keep your eyes open for the dolphins, we saw them often and not that far out. We found many cool shells and had fun with the tide going out and back in again. We had locally harvested raw and steamed oysters at The Indian Pass Raw Bar…a must see located just down the road about a half mile…fantastic raw oysters on the 1/2 shell!!! The property manager, Donna, was a gem. She made it clear to us to call her for ANYTHING and we did….she was able to help us each time. She only lives a short 2 minute drive down the road which was very comforting to know. We have been back for nearly 3 weeks, but want to go back to Two Palms!

A GREAT Fall Break with the Family!
Date of Stay-October 11, 2014
With my deployment overseas delayed, we found ourselves with the opportunity available to spend time on the Florida Coast with an unforecasted vacation. With a great deal of searching for location, amenities, and other evaluation criteria, we decided to try Two Palms. We were looking for more secluded/less commercial areas, as we’ve been to Destin, FL several times and, though the sugary beaches are awesome there, crowds and traffic (especially at restaurants) tend to distract from the experience. We’d never been to Port St. Joe area but we are nothing if not adventurous, so after doing some research (great YouTube videos of the place–thanks Peter!), we jumped on it. The Planning: never before have we had such a great welcome to a home rental as we did with Lydia and Peter. They were open to any/all questions and were accommodating in the extreme. The property manager also called us and made sure we had what we needed prior to arrival, to include a very good cleaning and layout and specific instructions on how to get the place open. Needless to say, we had great expectations as we headed down from Fort Campbell, KY for the long drive to start the vacation–good vibes. The Arrival: Very easy to get to, Two Palms is set right upon the beach. We arrived with about two hours before sundown, so we were able to immediately appreciate the place for what it gives you: perfect location, seclusion, very few beachgoers whatsoever, beautiful water, and plenty to do or not to do. The home is very spacious and we love the very open kitchen, dining room and living room combo that opens up to a very large back porch and hot tub area with unbelievable ocean views. We brought our small dogs with us and they loved the room and the beach as well: plenty of things for them to do as well. We calculated all of the things we should do the rest of the week and got down to knocking out that list. The Experience: Unbelievable relaxation to do whatever you want or nothing at all. Not mentioned enough is Money Bayou right next door. The mouth of the river bayou is home for very large Blue Crabs, which the kids had a great time catching every day, as well as a great Kayak experience (you put in right near the house and paddle well into the bayou for amazing, unspoiled nature [and safe]). The boys appreciated the hot tub about every night as well as WiFi. Smores on the beach are a big hit, too. Enjoy Two Palms: we most certainly did and will return ASAP!

Another great vacation–7th year-in-a-row!
Date of Stay-September 6, 2014
Our vacation, September 6-20, 2014, was our seventh consecutive at Three or Two Palms) in Indian Pass, Fl. As repeaters, we had our expected wonderful two weeks of sun and fun on the beach and in the local communities. Also, we appreciated improvements in furniture and the painting of rooms and deck areas at Two Palms since our previous visit last year. As usual, Two Palms was immaculate and ready for occupancy upon our arrival. The property manager met all our needs and was quick to update us on changes from the previous year, especially, the availability of two kayaks for use right off the beach. Our children and grandkids really appreciated this addition. Fishing was spotty off the beach, but we had better luck with two charters from the marina to St. Joe’s Bay and the Gulf. Our catch included Spanish Mackerel, Blues, small Barracudas and many sharks ranging up to about fifteen pounds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite some rain the second week, and fully expect to return next year for another two weeks of relaxation, sun, beach, fishing, and local gourmet dining.
Barb and Pat M, Georgia
Look no further, you have found your vacation oasis
We just returned from a blissful week at Two Palms, and hopefully we will return one day! My husband and I are insanely busy professionals, and unfortunately, are not able to “part the seas” at our respective jobs very often to get away. When we do, it is critical that the vacation go flawlessly, and I am happy to tell you that the week at Two Palms exceeded our expectations! The house is perfect- clean, bright, with gorgeous ocean views. The concierge service was very helpful, and made us feel as if we weren’t alone- we used the concierge a couple of times while we were there for a couple of random items and were very impressed with the professionalism and service. The beach was fabulous- many times, we were the only ones on the beach. The house was well appointed and stocked with everything we needed. We prepared most of our meals in the kitchen, and I had all the pots/pans I needed to create meals. Because the house is pet friendly, we brought our dog, and you will be pleased to know that the furnishings/interior of the house do not show any evidence of its “pet-friendliness”. My husband and I spent each morning on the back deck enjoying a cup of coffee- wish I were back there already. A Piggly Wiggly/McDonalds/Burger King are about 10 minutes away at Port St. Joe. A couple of local shrimp places are closer- we bought some shrimp from one, and my husband loved them. During our stay, the owner, Peter, even called us twice during the week to check in and make sure everything was going okay. All in all, I would go back to Two Palms in a second. I’ve rented from VRBO/Homeaway many, many times, and our experience at Two Palms was by far the best experience I’ve ever had. In other rentals, I didn’t even hear from the homeowner, or requests fell down a black hole. With Two Palms, the experience was entirely different. I told my husband one morning as we were having coffee, “I feel like Peter [the homeowner] is our friend!” If you want a terrific house directly beachfront with best-in-class management, stay at Two Palms!
Two Palms was EXACTLY what we were looking for and the pictures do not do it justice. The property is VERY well maintained by the owners and has a perfect floor plan with ocean views from nearly every room of the house. The owners and their management team are very helpful , professional and accommodating. My wife, our 2 dogs and myself stayed for 7 days and couldn’t bear the idea of going “back to reality” because it was truly perfect. The area is great for a nice, relaxing getaway….no hustle/bustle, traffic or crowded places. The house is 2 minutes from Indian Pass Raw Bar, which turned out to be our favorite restaurant (we went there twice!). As we drove home, we were already talking about our next trip to Two Palms.
AMAZING! A slice of HEAVEN!
Date of Stay: August 16, 2014
I don’t know where to begin. From my first contact via e-mail(asking about availability) to the day we sadly left our rental…. Peter, Lydia, and Donna by far exceeded our every expectation. They take customer service to a whole new level! Lydia was so kind and patient answering some of my beach questions. While vacationing, Peter called to check in on us to make sure everything was in working order and to see if there was anything he could help us with. He gave us numerous ideas. We couldn’t fit them all in so we decided on shark fishing and an airboat ride. We had a great time with both activities! Donna is a GEM! She went out of her way to accommodate us. I drove from MN with my 2 kids, 4 month old granddaughter, and 2 dogs. Needless to say, I was frazzled by the time we got to Florida. The rest of our party flew in. We had a 2 hour wait to meet up with the rest of our party and no where to go to wait out the time. Donna was so helpful and let us unload the car at Two Palms even though they were still cleaning. Then she told me that the other house, for some fluke reason, was not being rented until the middle of the week and offered us the use of that home and the pool while we were waiting for the rest of our party to join us, or until Two Palms was ready to go. That was a blessing!! Donna also gave us great advice when it came to local restaurants and help in finding scalloping trips. She also personally called to check in mid-week to see if she could be of any help. Like I said….top notch service! As for the house and beach, the pictures do not do it justice. The house is very clean, “homey”, comfortable , and well stocked! The hot tub on the deck was such a wonderful added bonus! I did not think we would use it since it was so warm out. Boy was I wrong! We sat in there every night. It was so relaxing and the view of the night sky was breathtaking! Nothing like listening to the waves crash while staring up at a sky lit up with stars! Perfect end to a fun-filled day! The beach is where we spent most of our time. It was so peaceful and quiet. We relaxed around a campfire by the water at dusk and watched the dolphins swim by during the day. Some days they were within 20-30 feet from us! What a sight!! I highly recommend Two Palms and will definitely be back! Thank you Peter, Lydia, and Donna for making this our BEST VACATION EVER!

We had a fantastic vacation at this wonderful home. The open floor plan on the main level was great. There were 10 of us and it was great to be able to eat all together instead of in shifts! The kitchen is well-stocked with just about every utensil or pot/pan you could need. The “adults” were very comfortable in their bedrooms. The “kids” slept comfortably on the pull-out couch on the lower level. The beach was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Over the course of the week we saw more dolphins than we’ve seen in all of our beach vacations combined. One day there was a pod of nearly 30 swimming up and down the shoreline. Having a private boardwalk to the beach was great–and the beach itself was not crowded at all. It felt like we had it all to ourselves! The local manager Donna was fantastic and was very helpful getting us a replacement propane tank for the grill (ours ran out) super-quick. This is definitely a great spot!
Thank you for your kind remarks. We are just a small (2) rental management company. We can offer value added vacation benefits that offer superior results for an enhanced experience, by focusing on the little things that make a vacation special. Our manager, Donna, spearheads our customer service team locally from the morning you start your journey until checking out. We offer superior service by focusing on the details. Donna helps with everything and is your very own private Concierge who helps with where to get the freshest shrimp and oysters, restaurants, Fishing guides, shelling, bike, kayak, horseback riding on the beach and boat rentals. Want to catch your own scallops in Beautiful St. Joe Bay, to help with anything? Donna will set you up. How about a bonfire on the beach give her a call. My wife and I interact with you from the moment you inquire about Two Palms and provide all the information you need to have a spectacular experience. My cell phone is always at my side We are available for texting as well. We can’t promise that there won’t be a problem, However we can promise that our team will immediately respond with solutions to the problem. It appears that we did a good job with details for you folks as described in your testimonial. We are client focused and making your trip special is our #1 Goal.We are dedicated to getting better, always. Our attitude is that most folk’s plan a week’s vacation far in advance, when you finally get there the last thing you need is problems, and in the summer, when it gets very, very busy the local rental management companies just can’t provide the personalized service and attention that we can. It is not even close. We have been hosting folks at Two Palms for 15 years and we have been with almost all the management companies around Cape San Blas and they just don’t have the manpower, resources and specialization we do. They can’t give that attention to detail and service that we demand. We have experienced this first hand when guests would contact us and say they called the management company for 2-3 days and couldn’t get a call back. We just won’t tolerate that kind of service. What happens if the refrigerator or Air Conditioning goes out? That could really have a negative impact on your vacation. Why take a chance being a small fish in a big tank, when you can be the only fish in our tank! Come on down and find out what it is like to have Four Seasons Service at a beach home! We got your back!

One of our BEST Vacations Ever
Date of Stay: July 5, 2014
While we have been wanting to visit Cape San Blas for several years, this year we were finally able to make it work and wow, are we glad we were able to go. If you like to get some R and R on vacation then this is the place for you. As far as the house is concerned, we could not have asked for much better. Lydia was very easy to work with before we arrived and our reservation went off without a hitch. We have rented many vacation properties over the years and I must say that the attention from the owners and property manager that we had on this trip is something that we have never had before. They go way above and beyond to make sure that you are having the best vacation possible. The house is very well equipped for everything we needed. The kitchen is very spacious and well stocked which is nice for us because we don’t like to go out that much while on vacation and prefer to just relax and eat in. We were able to prepare several nice meals while we were there. There is also two grills on the property which is a plus as well. There is also ample seating so if you are traveling with several people there is plenty of room to spread out so as not to be sitting on top of each other. This was also a plus for us because my parents joined us for most of the week. Another plus is the vicinity of the house to the beach. it is only about 25 yards from the porch to the beach. We were able to come and go very easily. The best part was that we carried all of our beach gear down and set it up on the first day and didn’t have to pack it up again until the last day. No need to worry about it being left on the beach as this is the norm at the Cape. The house was clean and the bedrooms were very spacious. The view from the porch off of the master suite was spectacular. All in all, this was one of our best vacations ever. The attention to detail and the effort from the owners and property manager to make sure we were having a great time was over the top. We even received a call from Peter the owner when we returned home to make sure we had a safe trip back and to see if there was anything we could recommend for improvement. I couldn’t think of a thing to change. Thanks again Peter, Lydia and Donna for a great vacation home. We will definitely be staying with you again.
You folks experienced firsthand, the above and beyond service that we provide our clients when your Air Conditioning went out at 8:00 PM on Wednesday. We immediately responded to your call and went into action to provide a solution. We maintain very close and personal relationships with our vendors and suppliers so that we can often “Pull out a rabbit from our hat”. That was the case with you folks. Donna has lived here for decades and knows ALL the service people in the County and often can “call in a chip”. The Air Conditioning service companies were closed and it was late at night, it looked like we would have to wait until the next day. We sent our personal Handyman out to survey the problem and diagnose a solution. When he couldn’t, Donna put a call into our service guy at his home phone at 9:00 PM and he came out to check the unit that night! We got lucky as he found there was a busted part to the unit and had the part in his truck. The Air Conditioning was up and running by 10:00 PM that hot summer night. It was a great effort on Donna’s part to get this kind of action after hours in the busy summer season. Of course we can’t promise this perfect outcome all the time, but it won’t be because we didn’t try very hard. Relationships, Family, Dedication and attention to detail is what makes us special and stand out from the rest. The most important thing to know about staying at Two Palms is that we got your back! You can trust us and see for yourself why we get clients coming back for years. Think about it, what if, God Forbid, you had a family member who had an accident or medical emergency and your management company was closed for the night, or very busy, and didn’t respond. That won’t happen at Two Palms. Donna has brought out toilet paper at 10:00 PM, helped folks bring their Pet to a Local Vet after hours, and even driven guests to the emergency room.( she lives less than 1 mile away) The greatest thing about Cape San Blas is its remoteness. It is also one of the drawbacks when you have a problem or emergency. It is nice and very reassuring to know that you will not be alone in a strange place with no local knowledge and limited resources and support. WE GOT YOUR BACK! I thank you folks for staying with us and am so happy it was one of your BEST VACATIONS EVER! I like to call our Two Palms Family, “Dream Merchants”. Our job is to help make your dreams of a fantastic vacation come true. Come on Down, and let us make your Dreams come true! Peter

This Beautiful house sits right on the beach and has a fabulous hot tub , 2 outdoor showers, a gas grill and a Weber charcoal grill, as well as a shuffle board court and horse shoe pit. Donna and the owners, Peter and Lydia, are wonderful hosts. The entire process of renting Two Palms was easy, from initially talking to Lydia, to Donna meeting us when we arrived!
We were provided amenities like a baby pack and play and chairs for the beach. Donna was most helpful during our weeks stay offering suggestions for activities and fishing sights. A fantastic time was had by all! The house is comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is very well stocked and even has a coffee bean grinder, expresso machine, 2 coffee pots and a tea kettle. A screen porch would have been nice and Peter tells me he is planning on adding that in the near future. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a rental property around Cape San Blas area. B and T
Thank you for taking the time and energy to submit a review. We are delighted that you folks had such a wonderful experience at Two Palms.
We have thought long and hard about the benefits of screening in the porch. A lot of Folks, including us, think the view and experience is not as pure looking thru the screen. However, after the past season, it is clear to us that our guests want a screened in porch!!! Therefore, we are going to screen in the main deck, facing the gulf at Two Palms!!! It is scheduled to be completed by late fall/early winter of 2014. So guests looking to come in the spring and Summer of 2015 will have protection from Yellow Fly’s and Mosquitoes. We will leave the Master Bed Room Deck unscreened for those folks who want the NATURAL look and feel. The best of both worlds. We value deeply the input and suggestions of our guests most of whom are repeat renters, many with 4-5 years of staying at Two Palms. WE LISTEN, We respond. Let us know any suggestions that you may have! We Got Your Back!!!!!!! Peter B. Co-Owner

Great vacation. Secluded beaches. Great floor plan. We stayed with 3 families and it worked well. We saw dolphins, went snorkeling at the State Park, went shark fishing and bay fishing with Captain Tim Harvey who was Amazing! We also crabbed in the canal close by and had crabs for dinner. We were not crazy about the late check in and early check out, but I don’t really see a fix to that unless the guests did all their own linens. I was impressed with all the extras in the kitchen (spices, lots of dishes and utensils). We will return
Thanks for your comments about our kitchen and supplies. We have photos of every cabinet and drawer in the kitchen, with contents in them,on pinterest so that folks can see what we have.It is under our name.If we don’t have the pan or utensil that you need just call Donna and we will get it for you! We have done a lot of analyzing about check in-out times. The important thing about a vacation rental is the condition of the house when you arrive. We will not compromise on the cleanliness of the house At all costs, the house has to be properly cleaned. We need time to get the job done well and we never know the condition of the house until check-out time at 10:00 AM.We have had complete disasters with some clean-ups that have taken 8 hours or more It is just impossible to gage the amount of time a clean- up will take.We take great pride in our cleaners and they are permanent at Two Palms. We want to have the continuity that a permanent cleaner provides. She considers the house her own and takes great pride in the cleanliness and condition of the house. She knows every inch of the house and exactly what needs to be done week to week. Most rental companies here have a 4:00 PM check in.We chose 5:00 PM to give us a little extra window to cover the potential for “trashed” conditions and to make totally sure that we get everything just right. We don’t want the cleaners to start cutting corners, taking short cuts and even skipping area’s because they are short on time. There is a tremendous amount of stress on the housekeepers to get the job done in a set/fixed time to be ready for the new guests. If there is some unexpected mess they can have the whole job screwed up. Our attitude is to undersell check-in time by allowing for unexpected emergencies. It is much better to have folks set on 5:00 PM and then surprise them by allowing them to check in earlier. The vast majority of time we are able to gets folks in by 4:00 or earlier .We also allow folks to come drop their stuff off in the ground floor entry area and go down to the beach. Some drop off their gear and go into town for supplies. If a bathroom stop in necessary,Donna will direct you to her house. We instruct guests to check in with Donna in the AM and she will let them know what to expect in terms of check in time.In some rare instances we have gotten folks in at 2-3 PM.We will work with you and do our very best to accommodate you. BUT we have to maintain our rigid cleaning guidelines. Bare with us we got u r back!

We love this house!!! Everything about it was perfect, especially the location. The pictures do not reflect how beautiful and spacious this house is. We had 6 adults (and pups) and it was very comfortable & homey. The outside deck seating was just fabulous and extremely comfortable, especially important for the Grandparents. The owners and manager were wonderful and a dream to work with. We have NEVER stayed in a better rental home and cannot wait to get back here! Relaxing beachfront home
Date of Stay: April 5, 2014
We enjoyed our stay at this beachfront home just outside of entrance road to Cape San Blas. Home has fully stocked kitchen and plenty of towels. We enjoyed the horseshoes and hot tub and the outside shower to use when coming in from the beach.
The wireless internet was a must for me as it was a “working vacation” and it worked well, just one interruption. The water pressure was low, but we have found that at many beach houses.
The owner and property manager were attentive and made sure everything was OK. If you are looking for a relaxing, beautiful home on the beach with all the comforts of home (plus some) you have found it here!
Do we have to go home? 7052 County RD C-30A, Port st. Joe, FL, 32456, United States (307869) Date of Stay: March 15, 2014 5Star A week at Two Palms was just what the doctor ordered. After a long, cold, snowy winter in Ohio, 68- 75 degrees in Florida was a welcome change. The house was everything we could ask for. The four bedrooms gave everyone their own room and there was plenty of hot water when several people were showering each morning. It was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen utensils to seasonings to towels to a washer and dryer. There was a lot to do at the house… books, horseshoes, shuffleboard, fishing, a hot tub and more. The wireless internet worked well but cell phone access was spotty. The week started out a little damp and windy, so we took a day trip to Panama City one day and saw the state capital at Tallahassee the next day. By Tuesday, the wind settled down and the rest of the week was beautiful. The beach was clean and had a lot of shells. It was not crowded, even though it was a Spring Break for college students. Most of them were in the more populated areas miles to the west. We were able to take 2-3 hour walks on the beach. There were sunbathers, horseback riders, dolphins, fishermen, and people with dogs, but it wasn’t crowded and everyone we met was friendly. The only small problem all week was the gas grill. It didn’t work properly but there was a charcoal grill there that more than handled our needs. The owner and the local property manager were helpful and accessible, but not intrusive. The owner tells me that he will be replacing the gas grill and I’m sure he will. The last night we were there we had a fire on the beach. We should have done that earlier in the week. The sky was full of stars and the sound of the waves was a great background. All considered, this was time well spent and Two Palms couldn’t have been a better choice.
TWO Palms gets TWO Thumbs Up

Two palms was a great place to stay. The pictures do not do this house justice! I was impressed! The private beach as a backyard was great for our dogs! You can walk your dogs on the beach, have bonfires on the beach, drive on the beach (with permit), find neat shells, sun tan, all while having the beach virtually to yourself.
The house itself looks like its never even had dogs in it! Very clean and relaxing. The master set up was awesome, I loved waking up to that view everyday! The overall beach theme of the house was cute, always a reminder I’m in paradise! The Hot tub was a great bonus as well! I also really enjoyed watching the dolphins every morning and afternoon swim the shoreline! Very cool to see!
I would recommend going down and spending some time at Apalachicola for day! Its only about a 25 min drive from the house and its a very neat town. Has great food and neat shops! If you have dogs take them too! Theres a cute dog shop down there they can go into as well as restaurants that have specified areas you can eat at with your pet! So fun!
We also really enjoyed Sunset Coastal Grill right in town, food was great there (especially the fried oysters)! Ended up going twice! Joe Mamas is an awesome pizza place we enjoyed (order extra because it will get eaten! yum). Over all Two Palms is a great place to stay, management is great, the place is awesome, private beach is a must! I cant wait to come back again!
Two Palms in a cooooold winter month
Date of Stay: February 1, 2014
Yes this year was a cold month of Feb but 45 degrees was a lot better than 5 below. We have come to the “Forgotten Coast” three years now and this is the first ever for a month. You can’t control mother nature but Two Palms is lovely, the attention given by the care taker is outstanding and the owners are extremely attentive even to an immediate response for a baking dish.
I could not have had a better 70th BD, And the weather cooperated for a week when our son’s and children gathered. There is nothing like the empty beach and friendly dogs and sand to walk for miles. Don’t miss the opportunity!
WOW! Huge room with fantastic view of the water!
Date of Stay: December 28, 2013
The lower (ground floor) area has a huge bedroom and separate seating area with a comfortable hide-a-bed. The only thing missing in that area was a bathroom.
The main floor was awesome allowing 3 cooks in the kitchen at the same time and plenty of seating for eating and watching tv. Our granddaughters (who live in Colorado) enjoyed the hot tub and running around exploring the beach.
They also enjoyed playing horseshoes with other family members, except for the sandspurs in the grass. They shared the master suite (on an air mattress we had brought) with their parents and really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub! Our son (who had to stay in touch with his work) spent time on ALL the balconies doing business. Cell phone service was intermittent but WiFi was fine.
One couple had brought their Labrador and a dog bed (3’X4′) which was placed next to the tv and wasn’t in the way – that’s how BIG the living area is! They slept in the other bedroom on the upper floor and loved the accommodations.
My husband and I were in the bedroom on the main floor and shared that bathroom with those staying on the ground floor but had no problem because the vanity was large enough to store everyone’s toiletries. The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of room our clothes in drawers and closet which has enough hangers for more than we brought. Also the room was big enough to store the containers we had brought holding food and cooking supplies.
We brought a slow cooker and our Keurig brewer only because we were in driving distance but the kitchen was completely stocked and would not have been necessary to bring a thing. With the number of people we had decided to cook our meals and each family brought food. The refrigerator was huge enough to store all the perishables and the pantry handled all the staples. AND we had a LOT of food.
The laundry area was convenient and able to be the spot for the dog’s water bowl and feeding station so no one was stepping on or bumping into it. The machines were clean and did the job to keep up with all the towels being used. We did not stray too far from the house because it was so comfortable and homey. The weather was a bit cooler in December but the house had great heating and kept us cozy. Bringing four families together under one roof can be a bit taxing BUT we all had a wonderful time and would recommend this to anyone wanting to have a small family reunion or wanting a great place for a large family to enjoy the area.

Heaven in Florida
Date of Stay: December 14, 2013
We recently stayed in the Two Palms and were amazed at how great the home was. Peter and Lydia have really decorated and maintained this home well. Amenities were provided that were not listed. Big bonus!
View of the ocean is unobstructed. No wait reverse that last sentence. There were things “restricting” the view at times, Bald Eagles, Storks, Herons, Pelicans many other fowl to recall and of course the daily pods of Dolphins. These “restrictions” were not listed by the owners but we endured them (LOL). Did I mention the weather? It was Fantabulous. Is that a word? Oh well spell check took it. Everything about this home, not a house or rental, was awesome. It exceeded our expectations in everyway.
If you are looking for that little piece of secluded heaven in Florida; Then put your money on the Two Palms. We will again and again Lord winnin’. Thank you again, Peter and Lydia, for making this family vacation possible by sharing your very special home with the Buckeyes. We will be repeat customers for as long as you will have us. The “Ws” from Ohio PS: To all who visit the Two Palms, look for nets and crab cages under the deck. Not listed but they were there on our stay.

We loved Two Palms!
Date of Stay: December 2, 2013
What can we say? We loved Two Palms! It was everything it was advertised to be. The house was beautiful, clean and comfortable. And the beach access was simply……amazing. And private…our kids could play and play and play on the beautiful beach, then walk about 100 feet or so to warm showers, clean up and be back in the house.
The owners, Peter and Lydia, worked with us very patiently and warmly as we developed our schedule and arrangements to make our dream vacation happen. And with a number of children with a wide range of ages…the place fit us perfectly. The house fit, the beach fit, the quaint little fishing villages nearby fit, the dining, the horse ride on the beach….everything.
And the dolphins, bald eagles, pelicans, etc.provided wonderful wildlife experiences for our kids. We have already highly recommended this place to family and friends and would, without hesitation, recommend this beach place, this management team, the owners and all related to anyone wanting a quiet, beautiful, friendly beach time vacation experience. Reserve this place now because it will become more and more difficult as people discover this amazing vacation venue!

If you want a place to relax, enjoy nature and catch crabs galore – TWO PALMS IS YOUR PLACE!
We literally threw a net in and pulled out a crab! LOL No bait needed! We had never went ‘crabbing’. This made it easy and fun! Each morning we woke each morning to the view of the ocean, drank our cup of coffee out on the deck watching the birds fetch their breakfast. We could have just hung out on the beautiful Deck all day and watch the Gorgeous view of the Gulf of Mexico and Beach 50 feet away !
Walks along the beach through the day and fun exploring the area around us. You can’t go wrong here. To see a bayou meet the ocean is interesting as they push and pull at each other, the waters mixing and clearing into the ocean’s calming colors. Yep…. don’t miss a stay at Two-Palms. Peter and Lydia were awesome to work with, Donna and her crew had the place completely clean and ready for us – it smelled wonderfully! Don’t forget that you are on the Eastern time zone.. poor Donna waited for us and worried we were lost, while we kept driving by thinking we were too early. LOL… alls well that ends well and we were sad to close the door behind us… but Peter and Lydia hold that key to let us back in next time – and we will be back! 🙂
THANK YOU SO MUCH – our 30th anniversary will be one to always remember. The Jamisons, Champaign, Illinois
Thank you for coming down for your 30 year wedding anniversary!! We are so thrilled ya’ll enjoyed yourself. We don’t get many Yankees down this way and quite frankly I don’t understand why we don’t have more folks from Illinois, like ya’ll!!!
This area known as : “The Forgotten Coast” is simply one the prettiest and most Pristine areas in the U.S. We do have a lot of Blue Crabs around here. They are extremely tender and tasty. They are easy to catch and we have crab traps at Two Palms. Donna, the manager has extra’s as well.
On our website under “Blog” I have a whole instruction page on how to catch and cook. I have fond memories of my ,now adult daughter and I ,using the “manual” method to catch a bunch. We tied a long string/rope around some chicken parts or fish head, threw out the line, wait for a crab to attach itself and slowly bring in the string. When it got close to the edge of water we slammed a small net attached to a pole on the Crab and that was it. A ton of fun and a great activity for the youngsters.
You can also use the bigger traps and put bait in the compartment and come back hours later and find a dozen or two of Blue Crabs.
The other method is to lower traps from Money Bayou Bridge and get that immediate gratification of catching them instantly. (ask Donna) Then you just steam or boil them, throw a bunch of newspaper on the table, and dig in with your hands and maybe a fork. DeliciousAngie was very excited about coming to Two Palms and we talked many times for quite a while about all the activities and places to go.I kept telling her it was all about the House, Decks, Hot tub and Beach and that she should dramatically reduce her list of activities. Well she obviously did because they did about 5% of what they planned. It is just so relaxing to sit on the deck and watch, smell and listen to all that is going on at the Gulf of Mexico. It is a sensory overload and very intense, like being at a giant IMAX screen, only it is real, not film. One of my favorite activities is to “Not Leave the Compound” except to explore the beach and water.
There is plenty of very comfortable chairs and lounges on all three Decks and sitting in the Hot Tub at Sunset or watching the phenomenal Star show every night is pretty close to nirvana. There are 2 outdoor showers, one private. There are also 2 B-BQ Grills, gas and charcoal. Shuffle Board Court, Bocci Ball. Bonfires on the beach are permitted and Donna will help you with that. Why leave the compound?

My family and I just returned from Paradise! We have stayed in many rentals but I have never stayed at a more beautiful beach house.
The tasteful décor, the comfortable beds, the gorgeous views from the decks facing the Gulf of Mexico, the hot tub and the short private boardwalk to the beach helped to make our reunion perfect. We could not have asked for a better place. It felt like home. We all returned tanned, fit and well rested. Our only complaint is that the days went by too fast and we had to leave!
Prior to our arrival and afterwards, the folks who own Two-Palms (Peter and Lydia) were easy to reach by phone and their enthusiastic answers, explanations and advice made us feel at home even before we arrived. Their friendly, personal style of doing business is rare – it’s a sharp contrast with some of my other rental experiences.
One of my concerns was about our dogs because there are so few truly dog-friendly beaches. Some places claim that they allow dogs on the beach but then restrict them to small, fenced-in or roped-off areas. Peter explained that here we would have about 10 miles of a wide-open beach to explore with our two “best friends”. He was absolutely right! This was far superior to any dog-friendly beach that I have ever seen.
We were also delighted to learn that bonfires are allowed within the high-tide mark of this beautiful secluded beach. The property manager (Donna) even provided some dry firewood and helpful advice! If you are wondering where such an amazing beach can be found, it is centrally located between the towns of Port Saint Joe and Apalachicola in Florida’s panhandle.
Some features of the house are also helpful for dog owners. Doggy-gates allowed our dogs to use the deck with no supervision. In addition to an enclosed outdoor shower, there’s also an open shower. Its hand-held sprayer was ideal for rinsing sandy paws. Sitting out on the deck with the Gulf so close was just awesome! The soothing sound of the surf and the fragrance of the ocean breeze were mesmerizing. It’s a heavenly place for nature lovers. The house was thoughtfully equipped with a telescope and binoculars for watching the ever present parade of shorebirds and other wildlife. We saw ospreys and a bald eagle hunting at the Gulf and black dolphins frolicking close to the beach.
The hot tub was our favorite place for gazing at the colorful sunsets and the kind of spectacular star show that can only be seen there. We can’t wait to return to TWO PALMS!
Satisfied customers are our only measure of success. That is why Lydia and I try to do anything we can to enhance the experiences our guests have at our two Florida rental houses. It is always heartwarming to learn that we can add another happy family to our list of contented customers but your detailed review was so joyful and so effervescent that I’m going to pin it to the corkboard near my desk! It will inspire and motivate me to bend over backwards even more for those who will follow your footsteps to the “magic of Two-Palms”. Thanks for coming and your kind comments. Peter B.
Great Vacation At Two Palms
Date of Stay: August 10, 2013
We chose Two Palms for:
1) Roomy enough for 7 adults (3 generations of one family)
2) 1 Bedroom/Bathroom/Kitchen/Dining all on main (first) floor, convenient for the grandparents not having to continually go up and down stairs (The other bedrooms are on the ground and 2nd floors).
3) Dog friendly
4) Gulf front, convenient to Cape San Blas and St. Joe Bay
5) Clean and spacious
6) Good value for 1 – 5 above.
We have been vacationing and fishing in St. Joe Bay since 1980. Over the past 30 years, we have stayed at many places. Two Palms has been one of the most enjoyable places we have rented. It is convenient for boat launching into St. Joe Bay from either the East side at Presnell’s or on the West side at St. Joseph State Park. Two Palms being very near to Money Bayou was a plus, as we were able to catch a lot of blue crabs (the most delicious we had ever eaten!). The weather was excellent, allowing us to fish and scallop in St. Joe Bay every day except one (and that day we caught and ate the crabs).
We also enjoyed the hot tub, watching the August meteor shower from the beach at night, and catching fish in the Gulf surf at the house. Peter Burns, the owner, was most pleasant to talk to and work arrangements with, as was Donna Stuart, who is the local caretaker. We recommend Two Palms to vacationers interested in enjoying all that the Gulf and nearby St. Joe Bay have to offer. The Allemeier family (August, 2013)
To The Allemeier family: Thank you so much for your phenomenal comments regarding Two Palms! We are so glad that you gave us a shot and tried the “Two Palms Experience”. I know that you had expressed your preference for staying out by the State Park and BP/Scallop Cove area and we are just so happy that you had a great time!!! To think as you said:” We have been vacationing and fishing in St. Joe Bay since 1980. Over the past 30 years, we have stayed at many places. Two Palms has been one of the most enjoyable places we have rented.” I can think of no greater comment!!!! Two Palms is in an extremely low density area of the Cape, with only a few homes along the Gulf of Mexico with a very wide beach and most homes, as is Two Palms, set back from the beach. There are not a bunch of homes all crowed around each other, as is the case out by the Scallop Cove on the Cape. You have the Gulf, Two Palms and the County Road with a Nature Preserve on the other side of the County Road. There are 2 Vacant lots bordering Two Palms on the East side, which provides for further privacy and unobstructed gorgeous vistas of the Beach and Gulf of Mexico.
Two Palms is extremely well located being in the middle of everything in Gulf County. The distance to downtown PSJ and Apalachicola is about the same versus out by the state park it where it is 15-20 minutes longer. Access to St. Joe Bay for scalloping, boat launches, the Indian Pass Boat launch, the Raw Bar and the stores along C-30 are also much closer.
Two Palms is the most centrally located and jumping off spot for all the fantastic activities, shopping and restaurants located in the “Forgotten Coast”, plus its beach is huge, wide and basically deserted. By far the best “Doggie Beach” on the Cape. As the Allemeier’s stated, they had very specific desires for their Vacation Rental, and Two Palms fit their needs perfectly. I trust they know what they like and are doing with 30 years of experience of renting in the area. It is not that Two Palms is the fanciest, the most well decorated, the biggest or even the prettiest. It is just a very, very comfortable Beach home that is well set up with the bedrooms and amenities. The lot is huge (.75 acre) ,there are 3 Decks with main Deck having a Hot Tub on it.There are Two Outdoor Showers,1 public, the other private, plus a doggie shower. There are 2 Barb-Q grills,1 charcoal and 1 gas. There is a shuffle board court, bocci ball on the beach and a horse shoe pit. Plus a Concierge!

We had a wonderful vacation at Two Palms. Peter was nothing but accommodating from the reservation through the entire stay. He was so pleasant to communicate with in planning out fantastic vacation. The property manager was equally helpful! She helped us to arrange for a bonfire on last minute notice. Rooms were very accommodating, the set up of the house was great for our 3 families. Loved the deck, the distance to the beach, the openness of the living area, and how the bedrooms were set up (allowed for privacy). The only 2 things we recommended were a second fridge (3 families can fill up 1 fridge really fast!) and a new coffee maker. Peter was already considering our recommendations before we even left. I highly recommend Two Palms and if we vacation in Indian Pass / Cape San Blas area again, Two Palms will be high on our list! (3 families: 6 adults, 3 children, and 1 dog).

An amazing place to relax and unwind!
Date of Stay: July 20, 2013
This house was everything the website said it was and more. The property was very clean. We even arrived a little early and were able to get right in. Donna, the property manager, was so helpful and friendly. While there we were able to see dolphins. That was an amazing experience! We also enjoyed playing shuffle board and bocce ball. Loved watching the sunset on our nightly walks along the beach. We will most definitely stay at Two Palms in the future.

Perfect Family Vacation at Two Palms
Date of Stay: June 22, 2013
My wife, daughters and I spent a great week at Two Palms. After a full day of flying/driving we were all blown away when we stepped into and explored our home for a week.
The living spaces, bedrooms, porches and the overall setting on the beach exceeded our expectations (based on the rental description and pictures). The house was clean throughout and ready for us to enjoy. My wife and I enjoyed the great master bedroom and bathroom. The private master bedroom deck along the top floor was a nice place to “get away” for reading or morning coffee.
The gulf beach was beautiful with warm gentle waves coming to shore. And the beach was stunningly empty. Basically, most houses along the beach had a few people using their beach and there was almost no one else. I took a panoramic picture of the beach at noon from the upstairs deck and there was hardly anyone in the photo. The hot tub on the deck was a nice place to relax after the day’s heat had slipped away
Do yourself a favor and go for a meal at the Indian Pass Raw Bar. The informal dining (we shared a large table with another family) has a very simple menu of oysters, shrimp, crab and gumbo. There can be a long wait for a table, but it’s worth it. Just put your name in and grab some beers from the coolers along the back wall.
There were two small maintenance issues that needed attention. I talked to Donna on Sunday about them and a short time later Andy, the handyman, showed up and made the repairs. I didn’t actually meet Donna until the day we checked out, but she called several times to check in on us and offer information about area attractions and dining.
One of the unique things about Two Palms (in addition to being directly on a beautiful beach) is that it has four bedrooms each having either a queen or king bed. I searched for hours up and down the coasts of Florida and found that with most rentals the 3rd and 4th bedrooms tend to be equipped with combinations of twin, double and/or bunk beds. I’m sure those houses work great for big groups with kids. But for our family with three grown daughters, Two Palms was a much better fit. I spoke with both Peter and Lydia before booking and it seemed clear that they take pride in their property and strive to make each rental experience successful. Thanks for making such a great home available!
Paul ,thank you for your kind words regarding you and your family’s stay at Two Palms. We don’t get many folks down here from up North and I am so glad Two Palms exceeded your expectations.
The area is none as the “Forgotten Coast” but very few “Northerner’s” ever heard or know anything about it. This area is truly an “Undiscovered Paradise”. One of the very few remote areas in the U.S. that is still unspoiled and pristine. One of the few places where “Old Florida” still exists. The Cape San Blas State Park beach was rated the #1 Beach in the U.S. in 2002 by Dr. Beach. Cape San Blas is between Port St. Joe and Apalachicola, and, in our humble opinion, the best of the best!Cape San Blas, FL consistently ranks in the top 10 BEST BEACHES in the USA–ranking #1 in 2002!Frommers just announced their top 10 destinations for 2010 and included in the honorees are the Florida Panhandle Beaches!
The beaches are not only gorgeous, spacious and uninhabited but are one of the very few truly “Pet Friendly” beaches in the U.S. Here you can “catch” your bait and your dinner, enjoy an array of wildlife from Eagles, Sea Turtles, Dolphins, alligators and even Bears that go to the beach.Enjoy gorgeous sunsets and breathtaking star gazing at night. The remoteness of the area allows for some of the best star viewing you will ever see!
Fresh Shrimp, Oysters, Crab, Grouper, Snapper and Scallops are just some of the few outstanding seafood that is abundant.Rent a bike, a kayak, a boat, a golf cart to cruise the beach. Have a bonfire on the beach at night. The remoteness of the area allows for some of the best star viewing you will ever see!
Perhaps I have not accurately described the amenities of Two Palms. We do have either King or Queen beds in all 4 BDR’s.The pull out sofa/sleeper on the ground floor is even a queen mattress. The Master Bed room/Bath is to die for with gorgeous vistas looking down the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. With two vacant lots to the East there is absolutely no obstruction to your panoramic views!! You also have your own very comfortable private deck with lots of seating options. The best part is you can just lie back in your bed and stare out at the beautiful vistas. There is large walk in closet, TV and dresser, and rocking chair. The MBATH has two sinks, shower and Jacuzzi Tub! We have a theme of TWO, at Two Palms. 2 Washingtonian Palms Trees in front, 2 BQ grills (gas/charcoal).2 Outdoor showers.2 Jacuzzi’s. 2 Dining Tables.2 vacant lots. Thanks!

Perfect family vacation!
Date of Stay: June 1, 2013
Peter, Thank you for providing a wonderful vacation!! This was the first time we, as an entire family, were able to spend vacation time together since my brother was in Iraq. I’d forgotten how much fun we can have together! And thanks to you we were able to spend it in a great house on a perfect beach. You really have a beautiful home. Donna was amazingly accommodating when my dad was in a pinch and TS Andrea didn’t ruin a thing 🙂 We hope we will be able to come back again next year.
Nikki, I am so glad that you and your family had such a wonderful time at Two Palms. We are honored that you chose our special home for your reunion. The area and house are very special and a perfect place for families. Donna, our Red Neck Concierge, who lives minutes away really is always available for our guests and so extremely helpful.Whether you need assistance with where to get the BEST fresh shrimp, scallops, oysters or crab or best restaurants, best fishing guides, golf courses, bike and kayak rentals, horse back riding on the beach, and even best places to scallop hunt. She can also help with building a bonfire, provide babysitting and has even brought over toilet paper at 10:00 PM.. But the most important thing about Donna, is that we have your back in case of any emergency, like the one you had Nikki, where your father had to scan some documents and fax them. Rather than going all the way into Port St. Joe, he was able to just go a few blocks to Donna’s house and take care of his business needs. Finally, in case of any emergency, medical or otherwise, we will be there to help you in any way we can!!!!! That is what makes us a premier/value added Vacation Experience. We care and go the extra mile for our renters. Please come back soon!!!! Peter B.

2Palms Review – Cape San Blas
Date of Stay: May 18, 2013
Interacting with Peter and Lydia from the initial booking was a breeze. They were very communicative, patient and accommodating with my 40th birthday beach plans. When I arrived I was immediately and immensely impressed with this house. Not only does it have an air of authenticity as far as how a beach house is supposed to look and feel, but I audibly gasped at the layout of the house. It was way more expansive than the pictures posted online.
The large open space in the living/dining/kitchen area meant that my friends, who are big on cooking, could gather in the kitchen all at once and comfortably prepare several meals at the same time. Although, we brought additional pots and pans, and appliances (we are big foodies) the kitchen was very well stocked. I never got the chance to meet Donna, the property manager but I spoke to her over the phone a few times and she was gracious.
Once I had a problem turning off the outside shower and within 10 minutes, Andy came over with a wrench and fixed it for us. We were stunned at how fastt he arrived. We swam in the gulf with at least a dozen dolphins parading in the waters behind us, caught crabs, grilled and sat in the hot tub which is conveniently located near the grills. I could say more, but I won’t. Go see for yourself 🙂 I have been to the Cape multiple times, and this is my very first review, and I would and will unequivocally stay and recommend this place over and over again. It’s not one to disappoint. PS – Don’t forget your bug spray;-) Thanks again.
Tricia, Thank you for celebrating your 40th B-Day at Two Palms!!! We are so happy that you selected it for your special event. We really try to make Two Palms a comfortable and special experience for our guests. And while you didn’t have an opportunity to meet Donna, our manager, you did get to experience Andy, a member of her/our team in action when he promptly responded to your plumbing problem.
Donna , our Redneck Concierge, is a professional and as such we think that we offer an exceptional vacation experience because of what she brings to the table having been in the Hotel/Hospitality industry all her live. She can be very helpful with all kinds of information about where to go and what to do. She has a tremendous Rolodex full of all things Cape San Blas/ Gulf County and Apalach. Fishing, Golfing, Shelling, Scalloping, Boat Rental, Bike Rental, Kayak Rental, Snorkeling, Deep sea diving, Horse Back Riding on the beach, Bonfires on the beach, Driving on the beach, Eco-Tours, Restaurants, Fresh Shrimp, Fresh Oysters, Pet Friendly businesses, Veterinarians, Doctors and any other thing imaginable…….Donna knows about them all!!!!
The most important thing about Donna, is that she is there when you need her, she/we have your back and if there is ever any kind of emergency or problem, we will immediately jump into action to provide a immediate solution. And if you want to be left alone and not deal with anybody, we will leave alone. That is what we are all about ……SOLUTIONS!!!!! We can’t promise that there will not be a problem or complication, but we can promise that we will ACT quickly to provide a solution to the problem or complication. That is what separates us from other rental vacation homes, we have only 2 homes and a full time staff to take care of all your vacation needs. If you want to be pampered and treated extra special……come on down to Two Palms. We are going to have advertising swimming with dolphins!!!! Please come back!!!! Peter B.

Vacation at Two Palms
Date of Stay: April 27, 2013
Our annual girls trip to the beach is always a special event and we look forward to spending time on the beach. We love the Cape San Blas/Indian Pass area and especially the beautiful beaches. Two Palms is a lovely home with great interior colors with plenty of room. The owners were great to work with we felt the price was within our budget, We did have rain during our stay and we took that time to visit the area and check out shopping and the restaurants nearby. We look forward to returning to this area again. The Tennessee Beach Girls!
Dear Tennessee Beach Girls, Thanks for staying with us at Two Palms and your kind comments. We try to be responsive to folks’ budgets. One of the great things about the Forgotten Coast and Gulf County is the huge amount of activities and adventurous exploring opportunities there are even when we have a little rain.We have found that once folks discover this beautiful area they keep coming back, year after year. We look forward to your return!!!!! Burns Management.

Two Palms was a delight
Date of Stay: February 16, 2013
March, 2013. My dog and I recently spent a few weeks at Two Palms on Cape San Blas. The house is lovely. There’s a wonderful view of the Gulf from all the windows on the Gulf side of the main floor and from the very comfortable deck off the living-dining room.
A private walk goes down to a wide beach of soft sand and good shelling. My dog just loved the large spacious virtually empty “Pet Friendly” beach. They have a “doggie” shower to wash off sand and “doggie” gates so you can keep your dog on the deck, securely. One floor up is the master bedroom/bathroom and a second deck, also overlooking the Gulf. This Master BDR is beautiful with unobstructed views looking both ways up and down the beach. The rooms are very nicely decorated with soft colors and beach accents everywhere. At the same time, it’s not a house where you are constantly “being careful” in case you touch something. The house is designed for enjoying your vacation.
The sunsets from the upper level deck are stunning. Halfway between the main floor and the ground floor is a smaller deck with a hot tub. While I was there, someone came twice to check the hot tub chemicals and make certain it was working properly. One thing I have learned is that what northerners (I’m from NE Ohio) call a “hot” tub is not a hot tub on the Florida Panhandle. At Cape San Blas they have “warm” tubs. After two consecutive years’ experience with “hot” tubs on the Cape, I’m now certain that “warm” tubs are the Panhandle standard.
Nevertheless, it’s warm enough to sit out at night with a glass of wine and enjoy the view of a sky that has far more stars than you may have ever seen before. During the day the Hot Tub offers gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico and the beautiful sunsets on the beach. One of the things that makes Two Palms so special (and the owners have a larger home called Three Palms available as well) is their Property Manager. Most homes have management companies, some of which are good, but all of which are impersonal. Here you have an individual who is a local and lives just a few “streets” away. She’s a gem. The few things that needed to be handled were done the same day and she provided great suggestions on places to eat, things to see, and things to do. It was very reassuring to have someone so readily available. Penny – NE Ohio

HIGHLY RECOMMEND TWO PALMS!!!!
Date of Stay: August 25, 2012
We actually never heard of Cape San Blas until we googled, “pet friendly beach front homes”. When we arrived on 8/25/12 we met Donna and Andy, the property managers. They were very nice and helpful our entire stay. The home was beautiful, clean and the decks were amazing! Seriously, you could sit outside and enjoy the view and the beach without leaving the comfy chairs!
We would recommend taking some time to view the lighthouses on Cape San Blas and St George Island. Also there is a restaunt/bar just down the road called, “Indian Pass Raw Bar”. I was yummy and fun! There was a live band and we got a chance to meet some locals.
One of our favorite things about the house and location was the privacy! We maybe saw 4 people on the beach, it was awesome! We were a little worried about coming on this vacation because Hurricane Issac was scheduled to come through on Tuesday. I am so glad we stayed, the waves and wind were beautiful! We sat on the decks and enjoyed the waves and the breeze. We felt comfortable and safe and it was nice having Donna and Andy so close!
On Tuesday we lost cable bc of the storm. We called them and they took care of everything very quickly! We will definitely be coming back to Two Palms, it just felt like home! There are 2 grills, one gas and one charcoal. We used them just about every night. OH… and the beds are more comfortable that ours at home!!! Naptime was one of our favorite pass times, and the view from the master suite is incredible!! You will love this place and the owners and management are very helpful!
Thank you for your review of Two Palms for your 2 week stay at the end of August 2012!!!! We pride ourselves on having very clean rentals and our manager, Donna, whom we refer to as our “Red Neck Concierge”, is simply fantastic at taking superior care of our guests. This was especially true as hurricane Irene approached this August 2012. We were constantly in touch with these folks. Updating them on the hurricane as it approached. Our #1 concern is your safety and well being. We will always have your back and make sure you are out of harms way. By having a private manager, and staff, that live less than a mile away, we are able to give exceptional service and add value to your vacation. If there is a problem we always act quickly to resolve the situation and provide solutions. Our guests will never feel neglected because their safety and enjoyment are our only focus. Donna has brought over toilet paper at 10:00 PM for some guests.
Fortunately, Irene missed our area, but rest assured we were prepared with contingency plans and even evacuation plans had the hurricane hit and caused damage, or if there was a mandatory evacuation. Water, flashlights, food and first aide materials are available on site. With our private manager for 2 rentals we feel that there is a huge advantage of staying with us versus the large vacation management companies that may take days to return your calls or address a problem. While we can’t promise that there won’t be a problem, or a repair needed, we can promise that we will respond promptly and solve whatever issue there may be. This specialized care is the essence of our service for our guests and makes us a truly unique customer focused vacation rental that keeps bringing back our guests. Finally, thank you for your comments on our comfortable beds, we just recently replaced most of them. You can feel secure with us, we will take care of you as if you were family, because you are considered that way. Thanks and come again!!!!-Peter

Stay during the second week of July
Date of Stay: July 7, 2012
This was our first time visiting the Port St. Joe/Cape San Blas area. We loved all the activities the bay and surrounding area afforded. The weather was perfect with just a couple of showers. The gulf waters at the house weren’t as clear as those around the Cape San Blas pennisula and both areas had a large amount of seaweed washing ashore all week. Perhaps it was the lingering effect of Debby a week or so before. We didn’t enjoy the ocean as much as we normally do but the bay more than made up for it.
We were able to find enough scallops for a meal; we rented a pontoon boat from Seahorse Safari and even had a close but harmless visit from a shark while snorkeling. Everyone enjoyed seeing all the underwater wildlife-horseshoe crabs, sea urchins, star fish, seahorses, sand dollars, etc. BLO next to Piggly Wiggly can get you fixed up with saltwater fishing license and they open at 7am.
The house was very roomy and clean. The upstairs king size bed was the most comfortable in the house…the others ranged from just OK to not comfortable at all. I was assured there would be linen for the sofa beds but I wasn’t told that I would have to ask for it. We didn’t find out until the day we were leaving that is was in fact in the house but locked away. The kitchen was well supplied.
If are a star watcher, the night time sky is amazing and except for an occasional firework, the evenings are quiet and peaceful. We visited Apalachicola two evenings during our stay. We loved the Seafood Grill so much we ate there both times. Would also recommend Joe Mama’s Pizza in PSJ. If you want to do some shopping in Apalachicola or Port. St. Joe though, you’d best plan on doing it during the day. Most of the retail shops are closed by 5pm. This beach trip just had a different laid back feel that some of the others we’ve taken. I for one really loved the historic feel of Old Florida.
Thank you so much for taking the time to submit a review of Two Palms for the July 7th to July 14th, 2012 week. We were very happy to receive 4 Stars out of a Possible Five Stars for the overall review. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of Two Palms, the spaciousness and a well stocked kitchen as you mentioned.
As I shared with you , on the phone after receiving your review, we have to take responsibility for the linen that goes on the sofa bed, not being readily available for you. Our communication broke down, and we dropped the ball. We normally do not leave linens on the sofa bed because of dirt and mold accumulation that can take place. We should have had left the linens on the couch. And even though the linens were in our owner’s closet and a quick phone call away to our Manager/Concierge, Donna (who lives ½ mile away) and could have been accessed with our hidden key at Two Palms, we should have made sure they were available, per your request.
We have never had anyone comment or complain about the beds being uncomfortable. In fact, we have had many comments about how very comfortable they are. That is why I was relieved, after talking with you on the phone, it really was only the one bed that your parents stayed in and complained about it making a squeaking noise.
Thanks to your feedback we discovered that there were two screws loose that connect to headboard that was causing the squeaking and we have repaired them and the bed is back to 100%. Thank you!
We are so glad that you enjoyed the area and the house. It was unfortunate that the remnants of Tropical storm Debbie left its mark with Sea Weed in the Gulf. But that is what is great about the area and The Forgotten Coast……there is SO much to do and so many choices to access the waters here with the Gulf of Mexico, The St. Joe Bay and Indian Pass/Apalachicola Bay. Thanks again for your review and we are so excited that you are considering a return visit to Two Palms next summer. Regards, Peter J. Burns/Owner

Wonderful Family Vacation
Date of Stay: June 16, 2012.
My family and I stayed at Two Palms and the beach house was perfect for the ten of us and the dog. Sitting on the porch with the wonderful breeze, the Gulf was just steps away at your feet! We enjoyed the quiet beach and taking the dog on nice walks. The porch was great as it was fenced in so the dog could roam around the area without any problems and I spent many hours on the porch reading.
The hot tub was a very nice surprise! We enjoyed many afternoons relaxing in there and while watching the Gulf. I actually have a very cute picture of two teenage boys laying in the hot tub and soaking after a day of fishing, they enjoyed it as much as the adults.
The house itself had all the amenities needed, it was comfortable and big enough for everyone to have their own space. The Master Suite was very nice as my husband and I could sit on the private porch off the suite, away from everyone when we wanted some private time and enjoy our coffee, reading or just chatting. The kitchen was great and able to handle both myself and sister-in-law to cook without any issues to feed a family of 10 three times a day.
I have one suggestion, and it’s a small one, the kitchen didn’t have a lot of bakeware pans, we did improvise and was able to cook with what was available. A 9×13 pan and cake pans would be nice to add as we did a lot of baking while staying there. I would say that Two Palms was one of the most relaxing vacations we’ve had in a long time and I would not hesitate to go back.

Date of Stay: June 9, 2012
Heres to The Burns & Donna — a big thank you from the family from GA, MS, TX ,TN, & OR ,what a wonderful home for all to gather. We all moved right in & it felt like home for a week. This home is bright , cheerful & has plenty of space. When we could make ourselves leave the porch, there was plenty to see & do in Cape San Blas, St George, St Joe, etc. Do not bring food—catch & eat was what we did. A great home to hang your hat! -Mississippi-

Found Old Florida
Date of Stay: September 24, 2011
The description of the property is very accurate. It’s about 217 steps to the edge of the Gulf. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The decks were gated so our dogs could stay on the decks when we were on the beach if we didn’t want them to get wet. Setting sun was beautiful, no words for it. We wished one deck was screened so we could sit outside at night.
Everything was conveniently located and we did everything! Kayaked, fished, and crabbed right in our back yard. Also, watched dolphin, crabs, and stingrays. Went to Port St. Joe Marina rented sailboat one day, pontoon boat another day, had lunch at the marina, delicious! Also, went to Withlacooche and found great river restaurant, Caroline’s, and an art gallery. Main complaints were no screened room and sandspurs along walkway to beach and in the yard. Favorite part was no people on the beach most of the time, but when we did see some, they were extra friendly.
Donna is property manager, warm and friendly and right there if you need anything. Lydia, the owner was very accommodating with extra requests we had. So glad we treated ourselves. We are Floridians and never had been to this area, beautiful. We are trying decide when we will be back.

Stay at Two Palms
Date of Stay: August 29, 2011
Two Palms was exactly the vacation rental property my family and I needed. The house was comfortable, well stocked and beautifully decorated. We stayed in the master bedroom which gave us the ability to wake up to beautiful oceanfront views. Mornings became my favorite part of the day. My husband and I would greet the day sitting outside on the wooden deck and silently drinking our coffee. The ocean breeze, the swaying of the palm trees and the calming views of the ocean was exactly the vacation we wanted. The beach for the most part was isolated and on most mornings we could see pelicans catching their morning meal and dolphins casually swimming by. Our daily morning walks with our dogs Pepper and Candy prepared us for the family breakfast and the rest of what I knew would be a relaxing day. The owners as well as Donna were very accommodating to our needs needless to say we plan to go back in the near future. The one thing I would change would be the name of the property instead of Two Palms to The Ocean Paradise.

Two-Palms Definition: Rejuvenating My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Two-Palms from May 28 through July 12. From the moment we first spoke with Peter we felt like family. Wanting for NOTHING!
Peter took the time to not only entertain every silly question, he also shared local history, his favorite fishing stops, and local restaurants. What you see advertised is EXACTLY what you get. As some of you may know that is not always the case, we promise you will not be disappointed! Apart from all Two-Palms has to offer, it is by far one of the cleanest houses we’ve had the pleasure of staying in, everything from a spotless oven to dustless windowsills.
If you are looking for a quiet, comfy place to rejuvenate your soul then Two-Palms is your place. No Traffic, No Noise, No Crowds… Just An Abundance of Peace and Quiet Its you, your family and Mother Nature at her best Thank you Peter & Lydia for making us feel like family and sharing your spectacular home. A special thank you to Donna and her cleaning staff for all they do to maintain Two-palms and provide friendly and prompt service. Summer 2011

TWO PALMS IS THE BEST!!! EVEN BETTER THAN BEFORE
Date of Stay: April 16, 2011
April 2011. Our last visit at TWO PALMS was in 2009 and WOW what a transformation this beautiful home has gone through. The first noticeable change was that Southwest Airlines flies to the new Panama City Beach airport and it is much easier and quicker to get there from Northern California and apparently many other Northern cities.
TWO PALMS has been completely refurbished inside and out. It is like new, with bamboo hard wood floors throughout the home and every inch of the house has been tastefully painted. Furniture has been updated, new curtains have been added in the MBR and more T.V.s as well. My family noticed many little details that have greatly upgraded the already fabulous home. The whole kitchen has a lot more dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, deep fryer, crock pot, new coffee maker, blender etc. Even the bathrooms have combo toilet paper and magazine holders.
The most enjoyable change was that the Hot Tub was moved from below the deck to right on the deck. Now you can watch the beach, sunset and the glorious stars directly from the deck without any obstructions. There is also a nifty , easy to use, hot tub cover garage that is on rollers. It is sweet!!! Another outdoor shower has been installed right as you come up to the deck for rinsing sand and salt off, it has two shower heads, one flexible for easy use to clean your dog or feet off. Besides the new doggie gates for the deck that keep them corralled they even have an industrial size “poop-per scooper”.
There is a gas grill and a charcoal one as well. New deck chairs and cushions were also a plus. There is a shuffle board court in the carport area that is gr8 family fun and even a set of Bocce Balls for fun on the beach. They have coolers, beach toys, chairs, beach umbrella and even a huge crab trap under the deck. A clothesline has been set up for wet towels and clothes.
There is even a mirror in the second outdoor shower that I loved for shaving!!!! We could really see and tell the difference with all the creature comforts the owners have added. By far one of the best is the private Manager/concierge , Donna , who lives less than 5 minutes away. She was extremely helpful and nice and when we ran out of Toilet paper at 9PM she even had one of her kids bring a couple of rolls by. This is our favorite area of the Cape, and we LOVE TWO PALMS even more with the complete refurbishing and upgrades. The beaches are so beautiful, the weather in spring and fall it is just fantastic and we will back soon!

Two Palms is Paradise!
Date of Stay: January 3, 2011
We have had some bad luck with “pet friendly” rentals in the past. The minute we walked into Two Palms I could feel the stress melt away! Fresh, clean, beautifully decorated and COMFORTABLE! The views are breathtaking. We needed to check in early and the management (Donna) worked hard to make it happen for us! The beach was great in January we met a few locals walking their dogs and got to hear some interesting stories about the area! The hot tub is such a great addition to an already perfect place! We cant wait to go back and hope to make this a yearly vacation spot!!!

My wife and I recently stayed at this ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL beach house. The serenity was UNBELIEVABLE. There was literally no one on the beach (well, ok, maybe 3-4 people per mile!). Lydia was wonderful to work with. This was our honeymoon and we did not want to be around a lot of people. I have stayed in the panhandle many times, and have absolutely found my new favorite spot…Cape San Blas. If you are looking for a wonderful owner to work with, peace and quiet on the beach and picture perfect sunsets, then Two Palms should be your home of choice!

Thank you very much Woody. It was a pleasure to have you both stay with us!!! Oct and Nov are my favorite times of the year to be at Cape San Blas. The weather is absolutely fantastic, the water is still warm, the fish are running and there is NOBODY around, I can’t believe more people don’t take advantage of this special place at this special time in the fall!!!! We look forward to your return. Fond Regards-Peter -Owner Burns Management

Great Home, Great View…can’t wait to come back!
Date of Stay: June 6, 2010
Our family had a wonderful time at “2 Palms” for a weeks stay in June 2010. We have a large family and were looking for a place that would accommodate us all and our needs and that’s pet friendly. 2 Palms exceeded our expectations and we are looking forward to returning to this quiet, private beached and serene area. We rarely felt the need to leave the home and or beach area, except to run to the local market to pick up that days fresh catch to grill on the spacious deck. The house has everything that you could ask for and the owners were very helpful and went the extra mile to make sure that we were happy. Thanks to Donna for welcoming us and being available when we had a question or needed something! We are looking forward to returning next year!

Words cannot describe this getaway! We cannot think of a better place to stay. The house is right on the beach and the beach is vacant. I bet there was only a total of 10 people on it for the 4 days that we stayed. The house was beautiful and had all the comforts of home. The inside of the house was up to date, clean, and decorated very nicely. We grilled out a couple of nights while we watched the sun go down and woke up in the morning to a cup of coffee on the back deck watching the sun come up.There are a lot of extras like a crab cage, beach chairs, cooler, and a fishing net for those that are wanting to do some fishing or catching crabs. This was our first trip to this location, but it will not be our last. We will be selecting this property each year and make it a family tradition. I want to thank the owners and the property manager for all the attention that they gave us. They truly were wanting us to have a vacation to remember. The owner helped me find the best places to fish and the best places to eat. Could not have asked for a better group of people to deal with.

Steve, Thank you for your kind words. It was, and is, our pleasure and honor to host you and your family at Two Palms. This little area is a very special and unique place. Our large lot (.75 acre), and 2 vacant lots next door provide gorgeous and very private unobstructed views of the Gulf. The Beach is wide and one of the few Pet Friendly Beaches in the U.S. and with the St. Joe Bay Preserve across the street it really creates a jungle like atmosphere and a real sense of privacy. Viewing the stars at night, in the hot tub, just enhances the overall feeling of peace, relaxation and serenity. Many times I feel like I am on a deserted Island at Two Palms. April and May, as well as September and October, are gorgeous there and my favorite times to visit. My family and staff, Donna Stuart, really get pumped up to accommodate and service the needs of our guests. Thank you for staying with us and allowing us to “add value” to your vacation experience. Come back soon and don’t forget about our other rental; Three Palms which has5+ bedrooms/4.5 baths/2 surround decks, a pool and is 1 mile from a boat ramp. My best to you and your family. The Ultimate Spring Break
Date of Stay: March 6, 2010
We had a great time in this house! It occupied 12 guests very comfortably and the kitchen was large enough for multiple people to cook at once. The location is great too, the Indian Pass Raw Bar is just a two minute drive down the road with it’s great seafood selection and we were almost equal distance from both towns of Port St Joe and Apalachacola. The beach is very nice and just a one minute walk from the house! I would definately go back to Three Palms! Kristen Fiorio, Wingate, NC

Photos and description do not even begin to describe this place. It is by far the cleanest rental I have ever had. This is the most peaceful place. Very beautiful and non commercialized. If you just want to get away without a bunch of people and take your pet, this is for you.

Two Palms Frank & Sandi Sylva , NC Review Submitted: February 23, 2010 Date of Stay: January 2010 From the wrath of Hurricane Ida –Two Palms has been restored. The house is beautiful, inviting, comfortable and complete. This was our fourth year at Indian Pass and our second at Two Palms. It was wonderful to be back and the house was even more beautiful than before. We went seeking solitude and a place to rejuvenate ourselves. Two Palms provided. The weather was perfect as always-for January- cool sunny days, starry nights, flaming sunsets, brilliant thunderstorms and howling winds that brought abundant shells to the shores. Two Palms was the perfect shelter to take it all in. The white sand beach is wide and beautiful and we could walk for hours in either direction with our Lab and have it all to ourselves. The kitchen was fully equipped right down to the last detail. The furnishings were new, attractive and comfortable, and the beds, new linens and towels offered the pampered finishing touch. The front porch was our favorite spot providing shelter from sun, wind or rain. The winter sun rises and sets on the porch and we brought an extra blanket just for that purpose. Moving the hot tub to the lower front porch was a brilliant idea and so well thought out, creating another vantage point to enjoy the sunset and the moonrise. Within minutes we could have our kayaks in the water either in Saint Joe’s Bay or the bay at Indian Pass. We were even lucky enough to paddle with the dolphins at sunset. Port St. Joe is 20 minutes west with great grocery shopping at the Piggly Wiggly, a wine shop and restaurants. Our favorite is the Coastal Grill. We picked up groceries on the way in and only had to go into town once for supplies and dinner out. Thirty minutes east will take you in to Apalachicola, an old Florida experience with a rich history, quaint shops and wonderful restaurants. Two Palms is the perfect retreat. The Burns and their staff are friendly and eager to be of assistance and are only a phone call away. But with this fully equipped, beautiful home we didn’t have a need or want for anything. Thank you for another wonderful escape to Indian Pass. See you next year! Two Palms is Awesome!
Date of Stay: February 13, 2010
This is the third time we have stayed at Two Palms. Always a great experience. The updates that were done before our last stay made the place even better. Enjoyed the hottub this time since it was relocated to view the stars. Our dog, Casey, always has a great time on the beach “helping” my husband fish in the ocean. If you want a relaxing vacation you can not ask for a better place. The beach is quiet and never crowded. Do your self a favor and stay here!

Beautiful and Calm
Date of Stay:January 29, 2010
A very dear friend of ours had stayed at Two Palms and let us know about the property and how much he had enjoyed his stay there so we decided to give it a try. There was so much more to our stay than could ever be described by listing the number of bedrooms and baths! We take our Greyhounds on all our vacations so we had to have pet-friendly which Two Palms is. We were even able to fashion a barricade on the deck so the dogs could go outside and lounge without us being with them. For most of our stay, the beach was empty, which certainly makes long walks or fishing extra nice. The house is located between Appalachicola and Port St Joe so getting around is convenient and easy. We love to shop and eat in Appalachicola and have found “The Owl” to be our favorite restaurant. We’ve learned that grocery shopping isn’t that great in that area, so we try to bring some food and supplies instead of having to go back to Port St Joe for provisions. The house itself is well appointed, clean, and comfortable. I absolutely love the view from the kitchen and living room!!! When we’ve told friends about our visits, we always tell them that if they’re looking for a vacation spot with lots of activities, lots of traffic and lots of kiddie-attractions, don’t go to Two Palms. What you get at Two Palms is refreshed and renewed. You can sit outside and just watch and listen to the surf for hours, or, if you’re lucky, watch the shrimp boats or even the dolphins. It’s a lovely home on a stretch of white sand that just brings you peace.

Renee and I couldn’t have enjoyed our stay at Two Palms any more. The house is absolutely beautiful. To find a home that is pet friendly and doesn’t compromise fit and finish is a rare thing. I especially enjoyed meeting Peter and all the folks staying or living nearby. No one could have been nicer or more pleasant to be around. The house is right on the beach with a three level deck on the back. I liked the fact that the decks are well furnished with nice wooden chairs everywhere for guests to enjoy the scenery, the weather, and each other’s company. We did enjoy the hot tub quite a bit since we visited in late fall, but we also loved visiting the nearby Indian Pass Raw Bar, Apalachicola’s shops, and Port St. Joe. The only thing I like more than that beach is having it to myself and the family, so I recommend it highly; just don’t tell too many people about it, ok?

We have had the pleasure of staying at Two Palms the past 2 summers. It was a wonderful experience both times and we look forward to many future stays at this paradise home. We had the good fortunate to meet Peter last summer. The layout of the house is great. It has several different living areas so everyone can have their own space. The beautiful beach out your back door is everything you could imagine and more. It is perfect for any activity or just to sit back and relax and do nothing. Wonderful times had by all!

Two Palms Vacation
Date of Stay:August 15, 2009
This house on this stretch of beach is truly amazing! I visit here all the time and each visit brings new sights to see. There is no place like this for peace, nature, ocean, wildlife and awesome sunsets! My friends, family and pets love it here! The house is immaculate and spacious with all the extras we need. The home owners, Peter and Lydia have always gone out of their way to make sure we have a great time. The hot tub under the starry skies can be incredible. We can see dophins playing almost any time of day right from the balconies and usually catch enough fish and blue crab for several large dinners every time we visit. It is also nice to be close to the Raw Bar down the street and love the restaurants and shops down the road in Apalachicola, The Owl, The Boss, and Tamara’s are favorites as is the Great Southern School of Fish in Windmark. I recommend Two Palms to everyone.
